When your client sends you an update photo from Victoria and it looks this good. It’s amazing what I have learned during Covid. I learned that with the right client, it is possible to design a beautiful home without ever setting foot in it. I learned how to ship product across this continent and so much more. Can’t wait to see this one in person. Fingers crossed soon.
Bedroom vibes. Having a relaxing place at the end of the day and waking up to beauty sets you up for the day and night.
We’re in the process of creating drawings for a full renovation. I’m talking - adding a three level addition, changing the staircase location and bringing everything back to studs... This centre plan allowed us to provide each family member with their own reach-in closet. And for those overflow coats, there’s a full depth closet around the corner. And that’s just the entry...
Just got a sneak peak from our custom upholstery vendor. These beauties are ready to ship all the way to beautiful Victoria. One of my personal favourite fabrics used on these stunning chairs.
Wishing everyone Happy Holidays!!!
A year ago Martin and I hosted our First Annual American Thanksgiving Party. Why not? As Canadians we already had Thanksgiving the month before and Christmas parties had not started yet. Perfect way to start the holiday season. We’re bummed that we can’t have the party again but we will pick it up when normal life returns again hopefully by next year. This cake stole the show!
Uhm. So these just got installed at our Victoria project. Love me big island pendants.
Love seeing my lawn sign each time I drive by. A KbD lawn sign = exciting things happening inside. This house has already been painted top to bottom, had hardwood installed in bedrooms and now for furniture, wallpaper, lighting, drapery, area rugs. Oh yeah and at one point bathroom and basement Reno’s.
This front entry workhorse is complete. A lot of stuff need to find a home in our fro t entries. And this does all that. Hanging jackets Storing current purses sunglasses gloves dog leash keys masks hand sanitizer oh yeah and those shoes that aren’t always all that fresh smelling - got a solution for that - grill on one side and an open shelf below the drawers What is your biggest hassle in your front entry? Happy Thanksgiving. Those Canadian Autumn colours!
Progress shot of a much needed front entry closet. My client did not have room for full depth closet so we designed a narrower cabinet with hooks instead of hangers for hanging. What problems do you have with your entry?
Bespoke hardware. Choosing the perfect hardware on cabinetry is key. These will be perfect in our moody Leaside family retreat. @myohstudio
