Further to our notice yesterday regarding PHO closures, we are unable to offer Youth Shinny on Fridays. We will see what happens when the State of Emergency is lifted or extended to see where we are at. Please remember that these decisions are ones that we are required to make by order of the PHO. There are other considerations we also look at when making decisions. The volunteer KDAA board and staff have spent countless hours this year trying to make our arena safe for use ...for our community. We are looking at a very tough year financially due to late opening, less use and increase in staff hours due to cleaning and sanitizing required. We also need to look at what is practical financially for us to ensure we do not operate at too much at a loss. In order to get through the next few weeks we are putting our ice on "idle". That means the ice is soft and not suitable for most skaters. We need to ensure that we are not having to recondition the ice during this time and add more staff hours and no revenue. *IMPORTANT NOTICE* With latest provincial orders, it is absolutely MANDATORY for users to wear a MASK when entering the arena in the dressing rooms, common areas and when leaving. The only time users do not need to wear a mask is when playing on the ice. To avoid closure please wear a mask! ... KDAA board

Sunday skate schedule: 11-12-Adult/Tot only $5.00/adult tots free. 12-2-Family Skate $2 per person/$5 per family.... Please remember to use the honour box for payment. Thank you for following our COVID protocols. Private rentals- contact Barry-Arena Manager at 353-2855. Rentals this year will be different than previous years as we need to charge for extra cleaning as well as ice time. KDAA board
