These undated prints were made in England. A 1921 version by the Fine Art Co.; 755 Walnut Street; Phila, PA. has their name and "Copyright 1921 Oscar A DeLong" printed beneath the stairs and omits the Hebrew characters, while yet another undated variant omits the words following "password". ~ via MW Grand Lodge of BC & Yukon website: http://freemasonry.bcy.ca/info/index.html

Happy Canadian Christmas everyone!

Kaslo Lodge #25 BCY AF&AM 15.05.2021

I've had some epiphanies in the last month. Since Christmas is approaching I thought I would share them. 1) Everyone goes through hardship from time to time. L...oss of a relationship, loss of home or belongings, passing of a loved one, car breaks down on vacation, etc. But never in recent memory have we all had the same sort of hardships at the same time. Social distancing, quarantining, wearing masks in public etc. And yet there are those who have it worse: Lost job. Lost homes. Lost loved ones. We are all of use hurting to some degree right now. We are all under some degree of stress more than what is "Normal" for us. 2) Unless it happens to be your career or area of interest, most of us are NOT trained in emotional psychological and/or mental health issues. We may not see the signs in ourselves or in others. Even if we do, we may not know what to do, or even in knowing, have the capacity, because we are all under stress. 3) We all need to be a little kinder with one another. We need to know that sometimes all it takes to help weather the storm is connection. Conversation. A text. A phone call. Someone knowing and giving a damn that we are hurting, even if they are hurting too, even if they are unable to do anything about our hurt. Just that they know and they care. If someone reaches out to you, take the time to respond. Have a conversation. Together, with the light of vaccines showing us a way out of this darkness, we can survive this storm. This holiday season, if any of you beautiful, wonderful amazing people in my world are hurting, or feel alone or beyond your capacity to cope. Know that I care. If you message or call me, and tell me, you will find me ready to listen, and I will then know and care. I probably won't be able to fix anything. But I will know, and I will care and you will not be alone. When the holidays are over. That offer still stands. Call. Text. Email. Let me know that you are in need. Check in on your loved ones. Check in on me. Together we can do this, even though we must be apart until this is all done. Thank you for reading. I ask you to do nothing, but care for each other.

We seem to be seeing some new fans and traffic to this page... For those of you from outside the Kootenays, tell us who you are and where you're from? Affiliation with Freemasonry, or just interested?

Good ole Gray Creek, BC where the Kootenay Lake Ferry used to depart from until it was moved to Kootenay Bay all those years ago. The Gray Creek Store is legend...ary and has been in business for a very long time. A special thank-you to Tom Lymbery for all his anecdotes and shared memories here at Lost Kootenays over the years. BC Archives or where otherwise noted.
