Hey folks, I just want to clarify our hours of operation as I think there is some misinformation floating around out there. The New Denver Pharmacy's hours are:... Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 5:30pm The Kaslo Pharmacy's hours are: Monday - Saturday, 9:30am - 5:30pm. Dispensary is closed on saturdays Both stores are closed on statutory holidays. We will be closed on Remembrance day, Nov 11th. We've been hearing numerous reports of people thinking we are only open till 5:00pm, which is not the case. Happy Weekend!

Our flu clinic in Kaslo is well underway with both Ward and Mike attending clients today. We still have vaccine available and encourage you to come into Kaslo Community Pharmacy. We will be giving flu shots all day - at least until we haven't any more visitors!

The Kaslo and New Denver Community Pharmacies now have flu vaccines! Come on in and grab one. Please wear a mask and light fitting clothing as there will be close contact and we need access to your upper arm muscle. Also, please be mindful of social distancing as immunizations will increase the amount of customers in the store. The New Denver location is a small pharmacy so please be prepared to potentially wait outside.... Allergy season is upon us as the plant buds are beginning to bloom! A couple of things to know about allergy medication: There are two classes of antihistamine allergy tablets: short acting (benadryl, chlorpheniramine), and long acting (claritin, reactine, aerius, allegra). The short acting class is better suited for acute conditions like allergic reactions or insect bites and stings, and are more sedating. The long acting class are better for long term allergies such as pet,... dander and pollen and are less sedating. There are two types of nasal allergy sprays: decongestants and steroid sprays. Decongestants are for quick, short term relief of a congested or runny nose, but should only be used sparingly or less then 3 days as they can cause rebound congestion. Steroid sprays are for long term relief of a runny or congested nose. They're a bit slower to work, but give the best relief out of all the options once they are used consistently. Talk to your local pharmacist if any of these options sound optimal for you!

The Kaslo and New Denver Pharmacies are closed friday through Monday for Easter Weekend. Come in Sooner than later to stock up on your health needs as tuesday will be busy busy busy! Also, come in and grab a homemade cotton mask handcrafted by a local New Denver artist! Available by donation at the New Denver store only and limited to one per household. All proceeds will go to the 2020 Grad class of the Lucerne Elementary and Secondary School.

Hand sanitizer now available, compounded by Ward over in the Kaslo Pharmacy for use in both the Kootenay Lake and Slocan Communities! Supplies are limited so we can only provide one per customer at this time. Hopefully we will be able to make more in the near future. We have both Isopropyl alcohol 75% and hydrogen peroxide 3% formulations. Come get it quick!

FYI re Kaslo planned power outage between 11 am - 1 pm today ..... We will still be open thanks to generator power and do not expect any disruptions in service. We recommend that you call your rx request in advance (250-353-2224), or use our online ordering feature to minimize your wait time in the store today.
