The grizzly bears at the zoo both lost their mothers when they were very young cubs and have vision difficulties. With these major setbacks, they would have not survived in the wild. Thanks to the SFFPZ, these two males are now young adults who live comfortably and safely together I am painting the animals that are endangered or at risk of being endangered. Spaces III Gold leaf, graphite and ink on paper 5x7 inches ... Spaces II is an abstract piece that could represent physical places, land and locations. Additionally, this piece could also represent memories or emotions. To me, the gold leaf is a metaphor for self-worth, encouraging me to remember that although I have imperfections and a shadow side and that I am not my negative thoughts and am worthy of self-respect. I was inspired by rock formations and Ukrainian artist Zorsah For more of my work, visit www.kasrea.com #artwork #goldleaf #abstract #art #gold #canadianart #saskatchewanart #kasreavisualarts #yxe #mixedmedia See more
