So we're coming back from the gym at 7am and I'm enjoying the peaceful drive back... when out of nowhere my girl who's in the passenger side starts reciting ALL OF HER TOP 20 VEGETABLES IN DESCENDING ORDER. I DIDN'T EVEN ASK!! Anyone else have a significant other that does something similar or am I alone on this boat??

With working from home, if you aren't aware of time, you can lose yourself in what you're doing and before you know it, you've not drunk any water, missed lunch and not looked up from your screen even once. Today, I set an alarm on my phone to take a break and when it rang I dropped everything and went to Forth Cafe had me a cappuccino and took a step back and look at the bigger picture, listen to some podcasts and came back home more energized and got a 2nd round of work d...one. Take your breaks.. it doesn't mean you're walking away from your tasks unfinished, it means you're giving your brain a chance to breath and come back stronger and will be more creative in your problem solving. If you're finding yourself in a rut, give it a try, see what happens. #letsgo #workingfromhome #mentalhealthmatters #cofffee #lifeofaplanner #thegrind #happythursday

Pay more attention to your TEAM than your rate. As I continue my journey to learn true wealth creation, one lesson that seems to be consistent among the successful is they bicker less over the rate they pay and pay more attention to finding quality in the partners they work with It is important, if you're investing, to keep your management fees low or when buying property to look for a low mortgage rate. ... But I've seen way too often people in search for low rates, compromise the quality of a team, the advice they bring and lose out on what they are trying to buy or achieve. I'll take myself as an example. I recently structured a deal to aquire a new property but was complex in its nature. I shopped around for rates and found several great rates through brokers and other institutions. But I worked with a realtor and a mortgage specialist I've trusted for years. MORE IMPORTANTLY, I knew how well they partnered together to see a deal close. They came at the price of a higher interest rate. But the result was come crunch time and the deal was about to fall through, I get a call at 8pm from both of them telling me the deal was done. If I spent time trying to negotiates rates and go with people I was unfamiliar with, I would have lost out. So the cost of a higher rate gave me back peace of mind and time. I know other people's experiences and opinions may differ. But I'm sharing the lesson I took from this to hopefully help others gain perspective to be able to make a more informed decision. A big shout out to Curtis Balkissoon RBCand Jeremy Hiebert for all the effort and collaboration. #letsgo #TeamRBC #backonthegrind #creatingwealth #investment #financialliteracy

Day 7- Final day of #leburgerweek and almost seems sad as I feel there were so many burgers still left to try. However, I feel this won't be the end of the journey, instead will just be more paced out than trying to cram everything into one week! :) Our last burger is : 'The Gogi Titan' from State and Main. A toasted Broiche Bun glazed with Maple Butter, Rock Salt & Sesame. Topped with 2 flame grilled Beef/Chuck Patties cooked in a house made Gogi sauce, crunchy Ramen patty..., crispy bacon, & sauteed mushrooms. Finished with a creamy Asian cilantro slaw. They were smart to reduce the cilantro as it has a tendency to overpower everything else, but doubling up on the patty and adding that bacon in there kept the flavour balanced. If you don't like cilantro you will want to stay away from this.. but for everyone else.. it's packed with meat, the mushrooms gave it a nice texture.. Can't go wrong.. Adios Le Burger Week, till next year ! #keepsupportinglocal #winnipeg #CanadaUnited
