Well! I normally don't teach a Spring session, but I happened to ask "would anyone be interested if . . ." So, tonight I start my Spring `Ukulele session with the I-A group, then I-B on Thursday, and Uke II and Uke II on Saturday with a total of 57 students! I guess there was interest! I have students from BC, AB, MB, ON, YT, CA and PA - and today I got my first student from QC! There are no borders in Zoomland!
We had a lot of fun playing a set for the Irish Association of Winnipeg's St. Patrick's Day Celebration last night. On ZOOM only, of course, but it was still a good time! Thanks to Tara Bailey for organizing it all. It always feels good to dust off some of the old Blarney Band songs that we did long ago!
Just a reminder that I have a workshop coming up on Sunday for any of you wanting to add a few Irish songs to your repertoire. Here's the link: https://mcma.ca/irish-songs-for-ukulele/
A really fun workshop with Kevin Carroll: 'Ukestra'. He's arranged two songs, multiple parts, that will sound great when we can all get together and play again. "Low Rider" by War, and "The Man Who Sold The World" by David Bowie. Kevin's a great instructor - knows how to make the material entertaining.

Registration opened this morning and I've already got a half-dozen registered. Here's your chance to learn a new instrument, or to further your musical journey! Sign up for the Spring Session of `Ukulele classes now! https://homeroutes.ca/workshop/
Oh, DO check this out. It's going to be so much fun!
Wow! What kind words! I'm so glad he enjoys my CD!
Thanks to Allan Small for a great article!
The week is off to a great start. I had my first class with the Uke I-B students on Tuesday night, and Uke I-A last night. Both groups are enthusiastic and fun. Tomorrow (Saturday) I meet with the Uke II and Uke III students. Busy, but great!
So, it begins . . . Last night I met and had fun with the Vaudeville group, and tonight it's the first class with the Uke I-B class. Uke I-A on Thursday night, and Uke II and III on Saturday. Whoo!
