I was so excited to get to talk to the one and only Ed Broadbent this morning. Life goal achieved!

There’s a Woodsworth quote that I think should ring true in politics; what we desire for ourselves, we wish for all. Never has it been more true than the vision... that the Yukon NDP put forward for this territorial election. Our platform is built around hundreds of stories and the lived experiences of our neighbors. It was written around kitchen tables with babies and seniors and people who care about those around them. And looking back at the whole process, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built. I’ll never get tired of hearing your stories Yukon. I want to keep learning from you. I want to know how to help to make this place we love better. Each person who has put their name forward for the NDP did so because of their love of community, that love belongs in politics. Empathy, heart and kindness belong in the place where decisions are made. Because imagine the changes that could be done by a government that is kind? I told them this experience would change them, and it has. It's deepened their understanding of the people around them, and allowed their hearts to grow even bigger. I love each every one them. I’m so grateful that they said yes when I asked them to join me. Campaigns don’t happen without the dedication and energy of volunteers. Thank you a million times over for sharing your time with us. Change is in the air friends, now it’s up to all you! Tell everyone you know that what they want for themselves and their neighbors is possible! Every vote will count! Today's the last day to vote early!

In 7 days, nearly to the hour, voting will end in the Yukon...bananas. This is my fourth election campaign, and it feels a little different not just for me, but... hopefully for a whole heck of a lot of you! I'm so proud of the folks standing with me, and grateful for those holding us up! In the last four days, I was in Pelly Crossing, Mayo, Dawson City and Old Crow. Hot dog! You sure know how to make a girl feel loved! Birthdays are usually pretty special, but being messaged by so many to say that they voted in celebration ...takes it to a new level! Thank you for believing in what the Yukon NDP is putting out in to the universe and sharing with me in such thoughtful ways. It's also a unicorn birthday because I was able to vote for myself on my birthday! Oh, and to celebrate I announced that we'd freeze rent increases for 2021 See more

Today was as sunny as yesterday was snowy! I'll never be able to fully explain the privilege of knocking on doors and the power of conversation! I always learn ...something new.
