Hi beautiful strangers! First of all, I miss you all so much! Second, can anyone else relate to this meme? ... It's looking like I will be allowed to reopen in Alert Level 4 this time around! As we've learned, things can change VERY quickly.. but I am remaining hopeful to be able to reopen Monday, March 15th! Depending what happens with schools, I may have to change my schedule and stick with evenings for a little while, but I'll deal with that as the time comes. Please note that I will not be rebooking appointments until I have a DEFINITE reopening date. Also, just like last time, I'm going to pick up where I left off as far as scheduling. Please be patient with me, I will contact you when it's your time to book. No one will be left behind. I'm also working on some special promotions to celebrate coming out of a lockdown (again!). Adding to my post from yesterday.. My number one proprity is the safety of my clients and family. I am taking all measures required (and then some) to ensure that KatEye is a safe place. That being said.. ... If any of my clients are feeling uneasy about coming to appointments, please don't hesitate getting in contact with me so we can navigate through this as necessary. I know this is a difficult time for everyone and I certainly don't want anyone to feel like they have to keep a scheduled appointment if they are not comfortable. Kat

In light of today's announcement and the developments of the last couple of days, I want to remind clients of the guidelines I have put in place at KatEye concerning COVID-19. Please take a few moments to review the points below: 1. Please arrive on time to your appointment. Once you have arrived, text me at (709)771-1649 and wait for my response and the go ahead to enter. This allows me adequate time between clients to properly sanitize all surfaces. ... 2. Wear a mask to your appointment. This must be either a disposable non medical mask or a cloth mask of at least two layers with a wire insert to allow proper fitting over the bridge of the nose. Face shields of any design are not an acceptable face covering. 3. Please used the hooks provided in the porch for jackets, purses etc. 4. Sanitize your hands before entering the salon with the hand sanitizer provided. 5. If any of the following points apply to you, please DO NOT come to your appointment: -you are feeling AT ALL unwell -you are waiting for results from a COVID-19 test -you have traveled outside of the province in the last 14 days -you have been in contact with anyone who has traveled outside of the province in the last 14 days -you are in the same household as someone who is currently self isolating/in quarantine Some of the statements above may seem extreme and are above the industry guidelines set in place by our government for salon and spa operation. As a small business owner that operates out of my home, I need to be especially diligent when it comes to the protection of my clients and my family. Well what a year it has been.. When I decided to start my own business, I knew I'd face challenges, but I never imagined I'd see a year struck by a record breaking snowstorm, let alone a global pandemic. 2020 has brought many challenges. It has been stressful, it's been sad, it's been frustrating, it's been down right scary both personally and professionally. But through it all, I can't say it has been the worst year ever. I can't say I'm sad to see 2020 go, but it wasn't AL...L bad. I didn't let the restrictions, rules or fears rob me or my family of living. It forced us to slow down, to spend time and to cherish that time with our loved ones despite limitations. We had the best summer. The weather couldn't have been better, we spent as much of it outside as we could and we made memories that will be with us forever. Christmas will look different this year, but it is not canceled.. the JOY, LOVE and HOPE of the season is still very much ALIVE. I refuse to let the hardships of 2020 take that away from myself or anyone I love. The MAGIC of the season is still strong in this house and I'm sending double the JOY, LOVE, HOPE, and MAGIC to all of you, my wonderful, beautiful clients and friends! If it wasn't for you, I don't know what the future of KatEye would have looked like. So Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all! Be kind to eachother! Stay safe! Stay healthy! Attention Clients Now that Halloween is over, I don't feel so bad mentioning... CHRISTMAS! If we haven't already done so, please message me to book your next few appointments!
