Hi I'm Katherine! It has been a while since I've been in front of the camera so I am popping into your feed today with a few fun facts about me that you might not know! 1. My sister-in-law (and an online quiz) decided this week that I belong in the 70s. Everything from my current go-to hair, to my home decor tastes, to my current obsession with learning to do embroidery. I'm glad that decade is in right now! 2. I don't know what colour my hair is. I used to be blonde for su...re, but since having kids it has changed and I am hesitant to claim a spot amongst the Red Heads, so I'm a little lost in a hair colour hybrid category. 3. I am a true introvert. I think all of my big ideas and projects and successes have come to me while sitting at a desk or on the couch all by myself. 4. But I love to entertain! A themed and well decorated party with a couple of my favourite people is my happy place. 5. I totally nerd out over all things Photography and business. I love finding new spots, new tricks, new tips and new people to talk to about any of those subjects. Tell me one thing about yourself in the comments. Please! I am so grateful for all the positive response I’ve had from you guys, regarding #thefrontstepsproject Thank you for being such great friends and neighbours. This week kind of feels like a week that I would want to be stuck indoors anyway! What is this weather that’s happening in Calgary right now? Where is spring April? Come on! I’m thinking of postponing the sessions until early next week, so that they can be enjoyable for families, and not a fight with small kids in the co...ld. But honestly, this is for you! So let me know what you think! Those of you who are interested in participating, hop over to my stories to let me know how you’re feeling about it. Also, I want to take a minute to reach out to those of you who have lost jobs, and who are struggling financially during this, already so difficult, time. Beautiful couple. Beautiful day (not the weather, but the experiences). Beautiful love. Beautiful families. I may be a little biased, but look at these people. It really was a joy to spend the day with them.

Double tap if you’re already thinking about 2019 It’s just coming so quickly, isn’t it? I have some exciting ideas and dreams and plans for the new year, but with those ideas also comes a lot of contemplation. I’ll be taking a bit of a break from social media for the next little while, to try to stay in my own lane as I plan the next few steps. I know a lot of my friends and family did this back in October, when it was suggested to us by the president of our church, bu...t I’m a little slow to cooperate and obey sometimes. I am feeling the wisdom in this counsel these days, and I am writing this to help me remember that listening is important, even when I don’t understand why right away. Do you ladies ever feel yourselves being swayed and lead all over the place while you’re on social media? Honestly, not a session of Insta scrolling goes by where I don’t think about opening a restaurant or something like that - and guys, I HATE to cook! So I am heading out to think through and pray on the things that are on going on in my life right now, without all the outside influences of all of you super cool people who are doing super cool things and kind of making me super jealous of YOUR lives, instead of focusing on my own. After spending an entire weekend surrounded by our families, I’m feeling more and more like I need to organize my little family’s lives and priorities, to make sure we’re living our best selves, and raising girls who love to do the same. Also, this image is not my own. It’s called Coming Full Circle by Jenedy Paige, and I found it in the October issue of the Ensign magazine. It really touched me when I first saw it, and I feel like it describes what’s on my heart so much more powerfully than I can with words. I am grateful for art.
