Easter message passed on with love to you from my wonderful brother’s fb post. My friend Iliana Reyes sent me this passage this morning, and I think it's so wonderful. I read it now about 10 times, so thought I'd share it: The word Easter (Latin pascae, Hebrew pesaj) means STEP. In the case of Jews it represents the crossing of the Red Sea, that is the PASS of slavery to freedom. For Catholics commemorates the Resurrection of Christ, that is, the STEP of death toward eternal ...life. Even for agnostics it means the supremacy of the spirit over matter. That's why this Easter I wish with all my heart that we encourage and take that STEP. The step that gets us through: From resignation to action; From indifference to solidarity; From complaint to finding solutions; From distrust to sincere embrace; From the fear of courage to gamble everything again for love; To shamelessly collect the pieces of broken dreams and begin again; From self-sufficiency to sharing failure and successes; To make peace with our past so that it does not ruin our present; And to know that it's worthless to be light, if we can't light someone's path. Happy Easter.
