That was a truly delightful afternoon. No I don’t want to know about tomorrow
We can ensure that the arts sector is a part of Alberta's economic future and diversification. We want to hear your ideas on how to best help our creative industries. Give us your feedback at Alberta's Future. https://www.albertasfuture.ca/event-reg/creative-industries
NDP Leader Rachel Notley will call for provincial support for Calgary’s downtown ahead of the Calgary Greater Downtown Plan being presented at city council on Monday.
Kenney gets asked a serious fiscal policy question. He tries to deflect by claiming that referring to a man, claiming credit for a woman's work, as a mediocre white man, is racism. Jason Kenney: no plan for the economy, plenty of angry nonsensical attacks. #Ableg #Abpoli
Happy Birthday Rachel! Please join us in signing her birthday card and donate! https://www.albertandp.ca/birthday
The problem of orphan wells in Alberta is growing, SanLing Energy is ceasing operations after having its license suspended and is now able to walk away from its responsibilities. How much are tax payers going to be on the hook for?
Watch LIVE as MLAs David Shepherd, Christina Gray, and Lori Sigurdson react to the UCP's COVID-19 Related Measures Act.
We are calling the UCP to put Alberta’s economic recovery ahead of the partisan desires to reject this help.
People often ask me what they can do to get more involved and support the NDP - this is a big one. Convention is where to talk policy, values, building a better future, and winning in 2023. There is no time like the present to get involved! https://www.albertandp.ca/alberta-ndp-convention-2021
We are calling for the creation of the Alberta Travel Pass tourism voucher to encourage Albertans to visit the province’s mountains and parks this summer. Learn more about our proposal at Alberta's Future. https://www.albertasfuture.ca//call-for-the-introduction-o
Alberta’s NDP will join Canadian Union of Public Employees President Rory Gill to deliver 30,000 letters from Albertans to the office of Premier Jason Kenney that call on the Premier and his UCP Government to properly support public healthcare.
The pandemic is not Jason Kenney’s fault. Choosing to do absolutely NOTHING to make schools safer is his fault. Schools shutting down in person learning is a completely predictable consequence of his choice.
Diversification is not a luxury, but a necessity. Alberta needs to take the opportunity now to develop our renewable energy sector, alongside our current energy projects, to become a world energy leader in all forms of energy. We have already released two policy proposals on renewable energy, read more about them at Alberta's Future. https://www.albertasfuture.ca/event-registration/renewables
The Minister of Energy spent $19 million on other advocacy last year. She refuses to tell the public what it was for or if it accomplished anything. She doesn’t think she is accountable to you for how she spends money. She even said it was totally normal in the private sector to spend $19 million without being able to say what you spent it on.
Watch LIVE as NDP Critic for Education Sarah Hoffman and Calgary MLA’s will respond to the announcement that Calgary and area junior and high school students forced out of classrooms due to the third wave of COVID-19.
The UCP reversal on the coal plan was barely more than lip service. They have not reinstated the 1976 coal policy, and we must keep fighting until they do. https://edmonton.ctvnews.ca//mayor-councillor-first-nation
Our kids need the critical tools to reassess everything that we teach them and evaluate it. This curriculum takes that away from them.
Calgary, we want to hear from you. Join our consultation on Calgary's future on January 27th. Register at the link below to attend or give feedback! https://www.albertasfuture.ca/a-discussion-on-calgary-s-fut
Why does it never occur to Jason Kenney and his band of angry men that having ignore market signals and just yell even louder as your only strategy might actually be the problem? People all over the world looking to advance their interests set their feeling aside and negotiate like grown ups. Probably because that strategy often works - might be time for the UCP to consider trying it.
School boards begged for a plan, the opposition NDP offered one, all the UCP government offered was criticism, accusations, and lay offs.
Watch LIVE as Sarah Hoffman and Thomas Dang will take live questions on Facebook following the Premier's announcement on current COVID-19 restrictions.
Watch LIVE as NDP deputy leader Sarah Hoffman will respond to Premier Jason Kenney and Dr. Deena Hinshaw’s COVID-19 update this afternoon.

A dark day in history. The consequences of the dangerous rhetoric coming from the most powerful office in the world are tragic. But democracy is stronger than this. It endures. https://www.cbc.ca//u-s-congress-confirms-biden-s-win-afte
Working from homes does have a cuddly upside.
