Dear Valued Clients, We at KSHA are so excited to reopen our salon next Tuesday, February 16th. Your health, safety, and well being and that of our staff is our first priority. In accordance with our public health we want to review some of the changes we have made since our first lockdown and will continue to enforce, details will be sent to your email. Please check junk mail. Appointments:... Please be mindful and patient as we are accommodating pre-booked clients from December 26th, 2020 to Present. They will have priority to the first available dates and will be contacted in sequence of their appointment during our lockdown beginning tomorrow (Feb.13th). If you do not receive a call from us tomorrow, please feel free to give us a call (or email) on Monday from 9-2. We will be accepting appointments for bookings starting Monday and will only be taking appointments by phone at 519-265-6748 or email at [email protected] . All social media direct messaging will be unavailable for the interim to alleviate our task. Our team will be limited and we will only be available to take appointments by phone and email for the time being. Also, our Online Booking will be back up and accessible after 8pm on Saturday, February 13th. We have reduced occupancy even further than our previous reopening in June 2020 by implementing staggered shifts to allow less occupancy at once. To Our Valued Clients, Where to begin...I want to first say how fortunate we are to have the support and loyalty from all of you this past year. Team KSHA would like to thank you all for your warm thoughts, generosity and for uplifting us through these hard times. As you all may know, the Province has announced a third lockdown and as of April 3rd we will be closed until further notice. Again, during this lockdown we will not be taking appointments or keeping a waiting list. ...We ask that you please refrain from calling the salon or trying to contact us via email until we have been given further notice to reopen. We will honour all appointments that have already been booked upon reopening, and we will contact you once we have a clearer idea of when that might be. Let’s be clear........there is NO clarity just yet of reopening in the PSS ( Personal Service Setting ) of our industry in WDGPH ( Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health ) area. After reaching out to our local public health for clarification in the emails sent to small businesses for our industry, they also do not have a confirmed date to reopen for February 16th. We at KSHA do not want our clients to be misinformed, we are just waiting. However, we are getting ready and... will post and email our instructions for booking appointments and new protocols as soon as information is given to us. We all must wait patiently. When I’m not working I like to play! Well, play to me is exploring new ideas to paint and change up my technique as I go! So between my day job responsibilities of purchase orders, marketing, emails, finding new products, packing orders, delivering orders and all that other general business day to day I need to keep up, this is what grounds my soul and takes me to a stressless place. ... To our valued Clients and Friends, As I sit here contemplating and think about what to say of the impending lockdown this Saturday December 26th. We, #teamKSHA would like to reach out in thanks for all the remarkable support and generosity you have all shown us these last 7 months. We know that even throughout these uncertain times, your concerns of our well being and ways you have helped our small business and staff stay afloat has been the most uplifting experience through...out all of this! After launching our first online shop, I was very apprehensive to take on another task but more so in doubt of its success. Because of the amazing support in this community we are so incredibly grateful and will continue to keep our online shop open during lockdown and restock with the demands. Curb side pick up will be by appointment and local delivery dates will be set on certain days during lockdown. As of Dec 24th on our last day at work, we will be closed during lockdown until it is deemed safe to reopen. Our online appointment bookings will be unavailable until further notice and we will not be accepting future appointments or taking wait lists at this time. Clients that are currently booked in the end of December and all of January will be contacted before we reopen and will be booked in priority sequence upon reopening. I think Vanessa’s craving to satisfy her artistic expression post shutdown is an understatement!!!! This day 7 years ago, I opened up my first store front business on Suffolk Street, downtown Guelph. Even to this day, I still remember all the anxiety, pressure and risks I had to take to put my goals on paper and make my dreams of owning a salon become a reality. All the feels since then have never changed. Each day small business owners put so much on the line to make decisions to keep in budget and hope to continually succeed in what they love to do. ... Small business owners rely on the success to continue not only for revenue but for their livelihood. The Covid 19 Pandemic has hit our small business community hard over the last few months. Reopening doesn’t look the same, so......... Today on my anniversary of opening my first store front business I want to support and recognize the downtown small businesses here in Guelph. Yesterday was day 12, we were back at the grind strong with #teamKSHA . I could not be more proud of this amazing team, tirelessly working extra days and hours to fulfill the backlog of appointments these last three months. I can admit that at the very least my anxiety as a business owner reopening during this pandemic, is how safe can I make the space for everyone. It has put my mind at ease these last couple weeks working with a team that not only complies with all of our... procedures but goes over and beyond to keep each and every person that walks through our doors knowledgeable of our policies and ensure every space is disinfected when touched. While he takes on the care of our children, he still manages to help with the business side of operations. Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful men stepping up everyday for their kids and the children around them that admire their spirit, inspire them for greatness and show them their heart. As the week has come to a close. We have finally finished contacting about 95% of our clients on the priority list. The demand for your favourite stylists have been overwhelming to coordinate these past few days but it is so phenomenal how many of you reached out to be on this list! 500+ calls in counting!!!!! As colourist by profession, we are trained to see every shade in its most translucent, opaque or even iridescent state. We are trained to find the beauty in every tone. This post by @fuzzedupbear and reposted by @ariles_can_not_lose was something that struck out at me. It’s a reflection of how some don’t see how beautiful this tone is, that this colour is a human being. This colour is a person, with a soul, with a heart, is loved and will be loved like the many beautiful pp...l before him that have suffered such an injustice based on the colour of their skin. Take the time to understand your fellow human beings no matter what their colour. We all breathe the same air, we bleed the same blood, we feel the same despair in times of sorrow. Hello Everyone, Sorry I have been MIA for a while. During the these unprecedented times, my husband Ryan and I have been following up closely on the matter of Covid 19 and we’ve been evaluating different ways to sustain our business....
