I have invited the Minister of Transportation to my riding to meet with residents and small businesses in Thorncliffe Park regarding their concerns about the Ontario Line's proposed Maintenance and Storage Facility plans. These plans will be in direct contravention to the official plan that supports the best interests of the community. The community deserves input into this vital project and its altering impacts that will be felt for years to come.... They need to have a direct dialogue with the Minister on site as soon as possible.

EarthDay is about recognizing, cherishing and celebrating the home we all share. The same way we take care of where we live; with care to maintain and invest, earth deserves the same such treatment. As stewards of this planet, it's our responsibility, privilege and opportunity to leave it as a respected and cherished place for our children.

Earlier this year I was delighted to invite a talented group of elementary students from Parkdale neighbourhood schools to a virtual event for a musical performance. The performers were outstanding and trained by Sistema Toronto at one of their after-school programs. Sistema Toronto is a free music and social development program for elementary through to high school students. Their programs build stronger communities by enabling under resourced children accessing musical inst...ruments and lessons to grow, and thrive as engaged citizens and future leaders. The most recent directive made by the Ford govt was a clear failure. Voices from the expert table, including their own appointees, recommends paid sick days, vaccinating essential workers, and that monitored access to outdoor recreational activities be available. When will the Premier begin to make decisions that heed the voices of experts?
