Members of the Recovery Transition Program will present on October 18th, 2019 at the International Congress on Whole Person Care (in Ballroom from 1:30-3:00 pm).... The workshop is called "The Recovery Transition Program: An innovative recovery-oriented, peer-based mentoring program in addiction services." Don't miss this event! Congress Brochure: mcgill.ca/wholepersonc/files/wholepersoncare/brochure_0.pdf For more information and to register, go to: bit.ly/mcgillwpc2019 Also, don't miss an interesting play and discussion on Alcoholics Anonymous on the evening of the 18th. From 6:30-8:30 pm, Ballroom A - Bill W. and Dr. Bob - Play Reading & Panel Discussion. The play deals with one of the most profound and effective social movements of the 20th century that came out of a meeting between two alcoholics in Akron Ohio in 1935. The play, written by Stephen Bergman (of House of God fame) and Janet Surrey, recreates the meeting of investment consultant, Bill W., and physician/surgeon Dr. Bob that led to the founding of Alcoholics Anonymous. The play reading will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Tom Hutchinson that will explore its implications for healthcare. Panel: Dr. Kathryn Gill, Dr. Gerald Wiviott, and a Member of a 12-Step Program.

Wonderful story on our innovative program in the Mental Health Mission at the McGill University Health Centre. We also need to acknowledge program support from Janssen Pharmaceuticals Canada this past year. Please show your support by commenting or donating at www.CodeLife.ca, the Montreal General Hospital Foundation.
