My colleague and I made masks for family yesterday. Lots of stocking stuffers. Just have to attach the adjustable elastic and pop them in the mail!
I made a baby quilt as part of the fiercely competitive interprovincial sewing challenge with my sister, Jennifer Allison. The fabric is pink, white and turquoise with bunnies and roses. My first completed quilt, a gift for the moderator of our challenge, Cathy Young Simons. I loved piecing together the quilt and showing off the Riley Blake Windham Rose fabric to best advantage.
My first quilted table runner! Love the greens in this collection of Kaffee Fassett fabrics.
As part of an interprovincial sewing etc challenge with my sister I was tasked to make a toy. So I designed and hand stitched a set of hand puppets - Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I am bagging and dating all of my projects to keep them safe from Covid 19. I still have eight more puppets to sew so watch this space for a dragon, a wolf, a prince or knight and other fairytale characters. And still making safety gear for health care folks as time allows. Keep safe!
I am not really sewing to sell right now. With a pandemic surrounding us, I am making scrub caps for people that need them. I will be sewing as much as I can on these for a bit. It makes sense for those of us who sew. The Facebook page is called Sewing for Ottawa.
So my second entry in the sororal interprovincial sewing challenge came second. Crushed!
I made this really cute quilted zippered pouch as the first challenge in an interprovincial sewing competition with my sister. It was a lot of fun and I hope I win!??
My first quilt top. Going to add a border then get it quilted.
