Our family has been living pretty quiet the past few months as my mom battled the cancer demon. I was looking for the right words on that last day, when I was sent this poem from my beautiful cousin. I read the words to my mom and she passed only a few minutes later. ... Our family has lived around mom’s cancer for over a decade. It is now time that we all pick up the pieces and start to move forward. As we slowly work through our grief, we are reminded that life really is precious! We need to say what needs to be said now, because we don’t know if we get another tomorrow. Marty and I are excited to finally have the freedom to make plans and get back at experiencing life! Thanks for everyone’s patience while I took time to be with our family. Happy to announce.....I am back and will be sharing a lot of great content here, as get ready to make some big moves with my life!

There is something special about mother and daughter moments like these. We climbed a mountain together in more ways than one. She is my rock and my person when the road gets jagged. I love you birdie.. to infinity and beyond. ... Where do we go next?

World suicide prevention day was on the 10th and I put out a challenge to go for a walk this weekend and post a pic. Here is my pic. Packed my sign all the way to the top of paradise. ... Didn’t see any goats, but the day was filled with laughs and good times. At one point I went off alone so I could remember my friends who lost their battle to depression... I have fought this demon in the past myself and I need to remember those days so that I never go there again. As I sat and looked out at the beauty I thought of my friends and hoped that they were looking down and happy that I enjoyed today... that I was enjoying my life.
