We’ve added a Contactless Pickup option to our website for anyone unable to come into the store. When receive the call/email that your order is ready you can pickup during normal store hours, just give us a call when you arrive! We do ask that if you choose this option that you do not select pay in store as we do not have a portable debit machine. Shopping in store is of course still available for those who wish to browse!

New additions to our selection of Bamboo Cotton knits! We’ve got three colors of unbelievably soft stretch fleece: these will make the coziest joggers, sweats, and hoodies! We also now have six colors of 1x1 rib knit that match the fleece, jersey, and French Terry. Extremely stretchy with good recovery, use this rib for cuffs & bands or even on its own for shirts/tank tops! More colors in both fabrics will be coming later!

Another exciting new addition to our yarn section today!! Sheepjes Whirls are the most stunning long gradient yarns, these colorful cakes are packed with 1,000 meters of soft fingering weight (except for the Fine Art collection which is a little over 500m of DK weight). We also have the solid colored Whirlettes which coordinate perfectly with the colors found in the cakes! Which colorway is catching your eye?

Day 6 of 30 Melanie Lynn Ference of Chocolates & Candlelight Inc. Besides being another Melanie, this lady has a special place in my heart. Her gregarious lau...gh, infectious smile and unwavering commitment to serve our community inspires me. She is also the very first person that says YES when I started my very first 30 videos in 30 days, before Discover Fort McMurray. And since then, every time I want to do something about shopping locally, she is always on board. For that, I am eternally grateful! If you haven't been to this shop, you will be delighted to find so many great things for every occasion and season: home decor, candles, gourmet food, and of course the most amazing chocolate! This place is magical! For those of you that have forgotten, it's time to check her out again! She's behind Boston Pizza and in the same plaza as Yvonne Lauren. AND OF COURSE! Her staff is amazing! Day 8 of 30 Drop Dead Darlings is the creation of Dorcas St Pierre and Julie Tiemstra Tuccaro. The first thing is the staff there. I always have an amazing ex...perience. I've walked in and within 20 minutes walked out with exactly what I wanted for a gala event at a very reasonable price. These ladies, like many in the RMWB, started their dream in a garage and have grown into their downtown location. They are even selling unisex & girls kids clothing~! Today is Day 5 of 30 for Discover Fort McMurray Business showcase. Carly of Firebag Coffee Company is a fantastic addition to our community as a business but al...so to someone newer to our city. She has a passion for great coffee, milk alternatives and great pricing. She LOVES coffee. Their home brew roasting is named after the rivers here to really make it a local product. Some of our Christmas Craft kits hit the shelf today. There are more then what’s in this post. We have limited qtys as our supplier is now completely out :-( Grab your kits while we have stock. Our order of wreath rings didn’t show as well but I have another supplier who had some stock. We should see those by the end of next week. DAY 7 of 30 Nathalie Bérubé Jaindl is the owner of two stores that are now one because of the flood in April Benjamin Moore - Absolute Serendipity. I first met... her in 2015 when she was running her business out of her home with several lines of furniture paint. She is an incredibly talented furniture refurbisher, teacher and local business owner. Many of you have probably taken classes at her shop. She took over the Benjamin Moore shop which has made her Fort McMurray's Queen of Paint! You will find her supporting local business as she carries some of their product her her store. I'm grateful to her guidance as a year ago I took on painting my kitchen cabinets. I was so worried about it. With her guidance on colour, paint choice and technique we took it on. I wish I did it sooner, I absolutely (my pun) love my kitchen. I even made a sparkle paint feature wall in my office. She is also the brain child of the moonlight madness and has been my partner for running several of them. She is amazing, strong and brave. Thank you for being so supportive of the shop local initiatives. It's been a year for her and her staff. There was several feet of water at the Benjamin Moore location during the flood in April, which is now closed. The stores have merged at Absolute Serendipity which is located on Franklin just north of River City Centre. They do curb side pick up, delivery in town and are open.
