This book by Brian Tracy is one of the pieces that convinced me to start Katie Campbell Virtual Assistance. It's historically been one of my favourite books, but I read it back to back a couple times a few months ago, really camping down on its chapter on goals. I knew that I love to work in the administrative industry, and I knew that I wanted to work for myself again. Starting a virtual assistant business had been stirring in the back of my head for a long time, and as Bria...n Tracy says, If you have to eat a live frog at all, it doesn’t pay to sit and look at it for very long. So I got started. Anyone out there have an influential book, person, or moment, that pushed you to where you are today? . . @thebriantracy #eatthatfrog #goals #virtualassistant #virtualassistance #va #business #smallbusiness #smallbusinessowner #yegvirtualassistant #yeg #virtualassistantservices #business #administrativeassistant #assistant #personalassistant #virtualassistantlife #freelancer #adminsupport #businesssupport #yeglocalbusiness #inspiration #bookinspiration #bestbooks #businessbooks

Let’s talk about WHY business owners hire virtual assistants. Lots of business owners think that hiring means on-boarding a new employee to their company, but there are lots of costs associated with new employees. You might not even have a full workload for that employee yet -- only enough work that you need someone else to help. This is where a virtual assistant can be the perfect fit. VA’s are scalable, meaning that we can start off doing the few projects or tasks you need ...and our workload can build or lessen over time to suit your company needs. This also means that you don’t have to worry that we’re sitting around in the next office and twiddling our thumbs waiting for more work. There are also numerous costs that go into an employee beyond their salary. You need to account for overhead costs, EI, CPP, benefits, and more. When you hire a virtual assistant, you’re only paying for our time. No holidays, sick days, or even paid coffee breaks -- you pay for pure work time. On top of all this, many studies show that full time employees waste an average of 51% of their work day on unnecessary work tasks or non-work tasks. This includes unnecessary meetings, emails, long coffee breaks, water cooler chats, and funny cat videos. Virtual assistants are more time effective because we are hired on a task basis. Our clock starts when we start your task, pauses when we get coffee, and ends when your task is finished. With our scalability, cost efficiency, and time efficiency, your company can save up to 36% of its employee budget by choosing to hire a virtual assistant.
