I cannot say enough about all the teachers. Imagine you had to shift from in person meetings with seventeen 6 year olds to online, you had to keep them engaged, ensure they have understood what you taught and can apply it going forward. Imagine that you did all this all while their parents, watched and bombard you with questions. Questions about tech, that you yourself are just starting to grasp, questions about why you haven't called on their child, questions about why the w...ork is too hard or too easy.... so many questions I am sure. The teachers are doing such a great job of making the best of thing so we can all get through this safely. My sons class had a karaoke party on Friday where the teacher rewarded the brave singers with GIFs, the chat box allowed the kids to encourage other and did they ever! It was so much fun. Our other teacher is not far from retirement and is honestly crushing the tech side of things. They send fun game based work, spiderman workouts, and encourage outside scavenger hunts. Getting to see everything your kids are learning has been eye opening... I mean we are multplying in grade 1!! Everyday is not easy but I think we will look back on these months and be impressed with our kids, our educators and ourselves. Happy Monday Everyone Its going to be a good week. We got this.
