Let me tell you a little something about this tiny human. He's obviously adorable, but he's also an "old soul" and super sweet, smart, quiet, and has the most adorable little smirks which usually come out when I put my camera down. He's also not my biggest fan, although I think we may have reached "friends at a distance" level at our most recent session! You wouldn't know it by this photo, but he was not thrilled about being the centre of attention during this session with h...is brothers. It took some calm, some fun, some snacks, some silliness, and TIME for this image to happen. We didn't rush him and gave breaks when needed. And that is totally okay!! Each little one is unique, each needs their own time to feel comfortable around this strange person standing by them making weird sounds and holding up this strange contraption in front of her face (aka me). Not to mention the masks which are now added to the mix. My goal is to make your session free of stress and full of fun, so don't you worry about how those kiddos are acting, they are being themselves! Dads on the other hand... smarten up! Kidding!!

I've had the absolute pleasure of photographing this little lady since she was a teeny tiny newborn. There is something just so amazing about a child's first year of life, and they never cease to amaze me with how much they grow and learn. Happy Birthday little one; I can't wait to see where your second year brings you!

So things are looking, well, not great. I really truly hope everyone is doing okay; this is tough. There is a lot of worry and so many unknowns as we enter the most challenging season as far as mental and physical health are concerned. Please take care of yourselves... stay home as much as you can, buy a bit of extra toilet paper, and eat the dang ice cream, you only live once (and it's sweater season)! We got this!!

Happy Friday the 13th! So. I was born on a Friday the 13th. It's supposed to be my lucky day. This year was supposed to be amazing; I actually had plans lined up, I had a busy month of sessions ahead, I had goals and motivation galore.... Life seemed great, the stars were aligning! Then on the eve of my birthday, we heard on the radio that schools would be closed for two weeks after March Break because coronavirus was in fact here in Canada. We quickly realized it was so much... more than I think any of us anticipated. BUT, here we are, 8 MONTHS later! We are doing it! We are surviving, we are adapting, we are figuring out this new norm. It's hard, don't get me wrong. Everyone's situation is unique. Everyone's struggle, everyone's little victories, everyone's choices are all unique. But the way we pull through and come out shining even brighter on the other side is by supporting each other. Be kind. It's the little things. #WorldKindnessDay
