Believe me, I have lived this out so many times in this past year! I used to think that in order to do something I first needed the confidence. Or that I wasn't OK if something felt uncomfortable.... But the truth is that confidence comes in the DOING of something. Jump in and do the things that feel hard and in DOING so you will become confident and more and more comfortable because you're practicing and getting better! This is so true with emotions as well. When I was working really hard to heal my relationship with food and my body, I had to get really used to the feeling of being uncomfortable and it's made all the difference. When you feel afraid to do something because you've never done it before and it feels uncomfortable, tell yourself, "Of course you feel uncomfortable, that's normal! and that's OK! You can do this and it will become comfortable in time if you step in and do it."
