Thank you all for your patience, my 2021 Brides-to-be! As I know you are all very aware, this past year has been a little chaotic. Going under lockdown, abiding by ever-changing protocols, and being bombarded daily with new guidelines due to the pandemic has made it difficult to navigate a makeup business at this time. I put off booking and answering many bridal inquires for 2021 this past year for many reasons, and for that I am sorry. The anxiety of a second lockdown, try...ing to get 2020 brides rebooked, and trying to work in new covid protocols had created an uncertainty as to how this next Bridal season would pan out. I had to update my prices (something I haven't done in 2.5 years) to include the new PPE and covid costs. I also had to take into account that I'll often need an Assistant, as I require more time with each client due to the new protocols. As of January 15, 2021, I will be re-opening my Bridal books to new Brides! This gives my remaining 2020 Brides time to reschedule if they choose. Thank you again! Mother of the bride makeup is always such an honour to do! Thank you for letting me glam you up for your daughters wedding day! . Today is the day a lot of people have been anticipating ! I know a lot of you are probably sick of thinking or talking about it. To lockdown or not to lockdown? Regardless what our province decides to do, I just want to express some gratitude for the support I have received through our first lockdown, and throughout Phase 2 of reopening!... All of you are why I can do this as my 'job' and I am so grateful. To be honest, the idea of a lockdown does scare me for my business. After the first lockdown, it was a struggle to come back between all the new ever-changing protocols and only coming back to about 60% of my client base. However, I was so happy to be back! Depending on how things go today, I might be out of work for some time now. I do want to stress that our industry has been doing all we can to keep us and our clients safe. . I know I sound like a broken record, but this holiday season I want to say support local if you can! So many cool unique artisans and shops here in YQL I'm sure you can find the perfect gift for a loved one. Though I may not be able to do a service in person (Depending on the announcement today.)
