Impaired Arrest A 54-year-old Peterborough woman has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after an incident Sunday evening. At approximately ...7:10 p.m. on November 15, 2020 police received a call from a concerned motorist about a vehicle driving erratically on Hilliard Street. Police located the vehicle at George Street and Parkhill Road and conducted a traffic stop. After police spoke with the driver there were obvious signs of impairment. As a result of the investigation, Lynn Douglas, 54, of Peterborough, was arrested and charged with the following: Operation while Impaired Operation while Impaired - Blood Drug Concentration The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on December 8, 2020.

SPIKE BELT USED AFTER INCIDENT IN MARMORA Members of the Centre Hastings Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were requested to attend a residence ...in the village of Marmora on November 15, 2020 at approximately 1:00 a.m. The complainant reported that they had been threatened with a firearm by two males that had been residing in a trailer on the complainant's property. The individuals fled the scene in a vehicle after setting the trailer on fire. Members from the Peterborough County and Quinte West detachments of the OPP attended the scene to assist. A tire deflation device was utilized to disable the vehicle after it was located travelling on Highway 7 near the Village of Norwood. Cannabis, suspected methamphetamine and a replica firearm were located during a search of the vehicle. The accused were taken into custody without further incident. Michael STAMATAKOS (age 29) of North York, Ontario was arrested and charged with: Flight from peace officer Dangerous operation Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose Arson-damage to property Uttering threats-cause death or bodily harm Uttering threats-damage property Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling Possession of firearm of ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order Conspiracy to commit indictable offence-two counts Participation in criminal organization Possession of schedule I substance-methamphetamine Alex SILK (age 25) of Southgate Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with: Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose Arson-damage to property Possession of firearm of ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order Conspiracy to commit indictable offence Participation in criminal organization Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling The accused appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville for a bail hearing on November 15, 2020.

A 30 year old from The Nation Township was stopped by Hawkesbury OPP Monday for expired plate (pre-pandemic extension). Officer seized cannabis and recovered leaking bottle under a seat. Multiple charges (incl. drive while suspended, no insurance). Driver due in court Dec. 3rd.

Emergency crews were called to the intersectio...n of Monaghan Road at Wolfe Street for reports that a car had struck a building. When crews arrived they found a car which had struck a fence surrounding a building on the GE property.
