When you come in to try on frames, we ask you to leave them down on the counter to fully disinfect before they are returned to the display. We are asking patients to have payment available with a bank/credit card. When you enter we kindly ask you to wear a mask. Sanitize your hands when entering. We would need to get your name and phone number for the Covid 19 prevention list. Please practice social distancing of 6 feet from other patients and staff inside the store at all times. A lot of customers are asking us "Is it worth getting an anti reflective coating?" Anti-reflective coating virtually eliminates reflection and glare from your lenses. This allows more light to pass through, helping you to see more clearly. Anti-reflective coatings are especially helpful during prolonged computer use and in low-light conditions, such as driving at night.... Most people agree that anti-reflective coating on their glasses are definitely worth the added cost.

Sunglasses are not only for summer months, they should be worn all year round.

Yesterday the Ontario Government announced that a province-wide shutdown will come into effect as of December 26, 2020 in an attempt to control the spread of COVID-19. All non-essential businesses have been ordered to close for 28 days in Southern Ontario, and 14 days in Northern Ontario. Based on the information available at this time, the shutdown does not currently apply to regulated health professionals, and therefore we will remain open

The Ontario Opticians Association has written an open letter to the MPPs and Regional Health Units regarding the Ontario Vaccination Rollout. Opticians are categorized as 'high priority' when it comes to receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, however only Optometrists are being permitted to register for vaccinations at this time. Contrary to the popular notion, sunglasses are not just for summer season. Sunglasses will keep the eyes well protected from UV rays during all seasons and reduce the risks of macular degeneration and cataract. Wearing sunglasses also prevents dry eyes. During winter, moisture in the air goes down, which can cause irritation and dryness to the skin and eyes. By wearing sunglasses you can arrest moisture loss and protect the eyes from snow.... When the sunrays hit the snow the light gets reflected to the eyes in high intensity which can hamper vision.
