We had a lot of show and tell images this month to post. Thanks to Hayward Macdonald (platter), Vince Way-Nee (hollow forms, boxelder bowl and platters), Laurence Julian (variety of pieces during Covid), Ken McKeen (Christmas tree and boxes), Sylvia Arsenault (pie plate and box with live edge lid) and Morris Young (gnomes, bark bowl and pot) for submitted images of your latest pieces.

On June 9th we have been invited to join in on a Zoom interactive remote demonstration at 7:00 pm by Ed Pretty from British Columbia. KWG members will receive the Zoom meeting details by email in the coming days. This will be the 2nd Zoom interactive remote demo our club has participated in. We hope you can all join in on the session.

With the Covid-19 restrictions we have not been able to have our normal monthly meeting, but we are sharing some "Show and Tell" images sent in by our members. Brian Sinclair - square box and candle holders. Vince Way Nee, - birch burl platter and wood stash, Frank DiDomizio - small tea pots and maple leaf. Hayward Macdonald - laminated platters for daughters birthday presents. Thanks for sharing your work with our members.
At our Feb meeting we had a very nice selection of pieces at the show and tell, thanks to those who brought out their work.
Our demonstrator for Dec was Frank Didomizio. He covered a variety of hollow turning shapes, techniques and methods. He demonstrated the various HSS and carbide cuts as well as the latest trends in equipment, such as rear supported systems, articulated arm systems using laser or video/camera systems.
Our December show and tell table was well supported by members bring out their creations. At the end of the table are some items for the special draw for the items that Nick Agar made during the all day demo last month.
We had a terrific demonstration day yesterday by Nick Agar. He took us through proper turning techniques and showed us many surface enhancements that can be done on our woodturning creations. Everyone thoroughly the day and excellent presentation.
There was a good show and tell table for our Nov meeting. Thanks so much to everyone who turned and donated Christmas ornaments to be put on our Winterfest Christmas tree for the Five Counties Children Center fundraiser. Thanks also goes out to those who made and donated Wig stands (for those going through cancer ) and for the Bravery Bead Bowls we provide to the Sick Kids Hospital. Many of you have been very generous with your time.
