Kawartha Park Marina 07.01.2021

2020 was a year like no other: it certainly presented new challenges for our business but with the incredible support and understanding from our community, we made the best of a difficult year. On behalf of the entire extended Kawartha Park Marina family, we wish you peace, health and happiness this season and look forward to welcoming you all back to our docks (and hopefully our store!) in the spring. Happy Holidays from ours to yours,... Ron, Maggi & family See more

It may not look like a normal season around here just yet - but we are open for gas and will be selling water, ice and propane! We are here 7 days a week from 9-5. When you come in for gas, we ask that you dock on the side that your gas intake is on, or if you have a loose tank, please remove it from the boat, place it on the dock and ensure all passengers head to shore while we fuel up the boat.... Our building remains closed for the time being but we are happy to be able to provide some necessities to our wonderful customers!

We have received another update from the province that allows us to move to the next phase of opening for the season. Effective today, May 11, our customers who have *water access only* properties can now pick up their boats if they are in the water. We have been, and will continue to be, in direct contact with our customers regarding process and timing. A few very important things to note as we prepare for a rather unusual Victoria Day long weekend: * If you do not require y...our boat to access your property, we are not yet permitted to have you come and pick up your boat, * While customers with water access property can now access their boats, we do not yet have the green light to be ‘open’ so the marina building will still be closed, * Since we are still closed, we will not have any supplies (water, propane, food etc) in the store so please come prepared with whatever supplies you require for your time at your property, * We cannot sell gas, but any boats coming out of storage will have already been filled, * If you have a parking spot at the marina, it will not yet be available as there are still many boats still stored in our lot - though if you are a member of the KPCA, that lot will be free of boats and accessible for your use, * The boat ramp is still closed to the public, * Most importantly, if you are accessing the marina property, please ensure that you maintain all physical distancing practices and go straight from your car to your boat. We are still working through a four week back log of work to get prepared for the season so we are reminding customers to please be mindful the regular two week window that we require to get your boat ready. To request your boat in the coming weeks, please send an email to [email protected] so we can add your boat to the list and provide our best estimate for when your boat will be in. As with our update from last week, things are changing quickly so as we receive updates from the government regarding how and when we are permitted to move to the next phase of operations, we will be sure to share that with you immediately. Again, a heartfelt thank you from the whole team at the marina, your support and understanding has made this transition much more manageable for all of us and we are very, very appreciative! Today, we wanted to share another brief update regarding our operations following the most recent announcement from the provincial government. While we have been given the green light to open for the season beginning Saturday, May 16, for the safety of our staff, families and customers, Kawartha Park Marina will not be opening to the public just yet. There are still necessary steps that we need to take in order to offer the safest possible environment for our staff and custo...mers. One thing we can do safely is have customers pick up their boats if they are in the water! We have been working to notify customers as their boats come out of storage and will continue to do so. Our team has been working hard to get as many boats in the water as possible and we have made some excellent progress over the past two weeks. If you have any questions about your boat or would like to request that it be put in the water, please email [email protected]. A quick reminder of a few very important things to stay mindful of this long weekend: - As noted above, the marina building will still be closed to customers - We will not have any supplies in the store (including water and propane) so please come prepared with whatever supplies required for time at your property - We will not be selling gas. Any boats coming out of storage will have already been filled - If you have a parking spot at the marina, it will not be available at this time as there are many boats still in the lot - The boat ramp is still closed for anything outside of marina use - If you are accessing the marina property, please ensure that you maintain all physical distancing practices and go straight from your car to your boat As always, thank you for your support and patience as we work through these changes together. We look forward to being able to safely welcome you back to Kawartha Park Marina soon.

Kawartha Park Marina 09.12.2020

We have received some promising updates from the province over the past few days! As of Monday, May 4, marinas will have entered the first phase of being able to open for the season and we will have our team back on site getting Kawartha Park prepped for opening. What this means for you, is that we are one step closer to being able to welcome you back to the lake! What this means for us, is that we have quite a bit of work ahead of us to catch up for the almost four weeks lo...st during the shutdown. During this first phase we will be working hard behind the scenes to get boats cleaned, recommissioned and put in the water but we are still not permitted to be open to customers in any capacity. That means that our parking lot remains closed, boat slips are not accessible, the boat ramp will only be used for marina business and we are not able to have any boats picked up or delivered. We are very aware of the upcoming May long weekend and are hopeful to hear more good news from the province before then, but as of now we have not received any clear directive as to when we can be open to customers and allow access to their boats and/or parking. Rest assured that our team has been working closely with our local MPP to remain up to date and apprised of any new developments and we will continue to work with them and other marinas in the area to ensure the safest possible operation of our businesses as soon as possible. The support from our customers has been overwhelming and so very heartwarming - your patience and understanding has been amazing as we work within the mandate of the province. Things are changing quickly so as we receive updates from the government regarding how and when we are allowed to move to the next phase of operations, we will be sure to post here. Thank you for your continued support, we are so looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Kawartha Park Marina 24.11.2020

To our valued friends and customers, As a new season is just around the corner, we would like to provide an update as to the impact of COVID-19 on our operations and how this will affect all of you. According to the recently updated list of essential services published by the Ontario government on April 3, 2020, it is clear that our marina is not considered an essential service. We have spoken with both the provincial government and with our local MPP and both have confirmed... that we cannot be open. So, in an effort to comply with this mandate and to do our part in flattening the curve, all services and amenities at Kawartha Park Marina will be temporarily closed until we receive an updated directive from the province. We had planned to get started and have our team back to work putting in our docks and starting to get boats in the water on Monday, April 13, but with this news, this will not be happening. We will not have any staff, including mechanics, onsite while we are closed so no boats will be recommissioned or taken out of storage and our boat launch will not be accessible. We do not take this news lightly and understand it may be difficult to receive. We know that this will have a heavy impact on our families, our staff and our Stoney and Clear Lake communities but we must all do our part to slow the spread of this deadly virus. We look forward to seeing you all at the lake when this has cleared but in the meantime, please respect this mandate and please stay home. We are monitoring our email so please send any questions to [email protected] and we will be sure to send updates as they come. Be safe and be well, Ron, Maggi and the rest of the Kawartha Park Marina family
