One week Kids on-line Summer Program - July 20 to July 24. Hoping to access tablets for children who are not able to afford. Possibility of two outings observing social distancing rules.

Graduated Sisters from SISTERS STEPPIN’ UP to begin a chat group related to future studies and addressing mental health challenges related to Covid-19

Girls on the Rise launched a new chat group in June of 2020 to address Covid-19 challenges. One of the girls is setting up a chat room that’s NOT Zoom. Ongoing weekly sessions July 10.

My heart goes out to the mother of Jonathan Davis! SO SORRY for your loss! Words cannot express a mother’s pain t the loss of her child! Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help as you go through this terrible time! May God give you the strength to carry on! The little I knew of this child was all positive! He was a quiet young man! I pray God that these gun toting, empathy challenged individuals will be brought to justice!

It is with great sadness that I have made the decision to cancel Kids and Youth Activity Centre’s Friday Night Soccer and Basketball for young men, after 16 years! Dwindling resources, inconsistent helpers AND attendance, have contributed to my decision! I just CANNOT AFFORD IT anymore! Young men, it has been a pleasure facilitating this program for such a long time! I KNOW that many young men formed great friendships, and a whole lot more were kept out of trouble on a Friday night! Thank you for your participation in the last 16 years! To those young men AND young women and adults who volunteered along the way, THANK YOU! I wish you ALL the best and I hope that you too formed some great friendships and learnt to do life and relationships positively!

Continuing to engage with grades 7's and 8's in two schools in Malton, providing 4 weeks of Mental Health workshops! Coming up this Saturday, November 28th, Moms and Daughters Mental Health day via a zoom platform! Contact me for details! Send a message on fb.

KAYAC (Kids and Youth Activity Centre) has started a four well virtual support group for youth. We will meet again this coming Friday to address the issues of depression and anxiety! Leave a message at 647-448-5880 if you’d like to participate in this week’s session. Meeting time is 7 pm.
