Here’s a couple really neat and unique youth training kayaks and a full carbon youth wing paddle we have here at KSC. All of these products are a response to the issue faced by many canoe clubs and youth paddlers of paddlers advancing in skill past the traditional mini kayaks, but still not being large enough to effectively train and race in low volume ICF K1s. The Zástra Joker and Pilot MK1s are perfect for youth paddlers transitioning from Mini kayaks into Sprint K1s, t...he Joker being intermediate in stability between the two and the Pilot being basically a miniature ICF K1. It has been found that the sooner youth paddlers start transitioning into less stable boats, the more stable they will feel in Sprint K1s later in life. Boats like these also challenge young paddlers who may be at risk of losing interest and motivation without an appropriate kayak to advance into after they’ve outgrown Mini kayaks. The Zástra Joker and Pilot MK1s are ultralight and durable, with carbon/Kevlar hulls and full carbon decks. At $1995 they’re well priced and are a great addition and strong asset in any canoe club’s youth kayak fleet. We have one of each model left in stock and available right now. Another fantastic product new this year is the Kajner Siklo S youth wing paddle. A full carbon wing paddle with a small surface area blade that allows young paddlers to begin training with the right equipment right off the bat and start developing proper wing paddle technique at a young age without risk of injury or developing poor technique using a paddle with too large a blade and/or having to use heavy equipment. These paddles are the same construction as our standard full Carbon Kajner paddles but priced at $395. We have a small number of these paddles currently in stock and receive shipments regularly and can always special-order larger numbers for clubs looking to purchase larger quantities of these great blades. These are the predecessor of the VCold Flex tops with the waffle-pattern fabric, arguably a little warmer than the Flex tops but a little stiffer material. We have one in XXL. This is an older production boat, but has never been paddled and is in excellent condition. There’s a couple very minor scuffs and scratches from it’s time in storage, but it’s a 9.5/10 and a steal at over $2K off list price.... L: 24’11 (7.6m) W: 19 (48.3cm) Weight: 44lbs Capacity: 530lbs (240kg) Optimum Team Weight: 130-190kg Construction: Ultra- Kevlar w/ Carbon reinforcement, Nomex honeycomb core, heat cured epoxy. This is an elite tandem ski, best suited for experienced paddlers.

On sale now at KSC is this lightly used demo KAPE Falcon Q XL ICF K1 in full Carbon Extra construction. Designed for larger paddlers, 85kg+ the Falcon Q is based on the Nelo Quattro K1, but has a more durable construction and fittings, whilst still staying at ICF weight so is a great choice as a personal or club boat, you can expect a very long service life out of this kayak, unlike the other one season K1s that skimp out on construction durability just to build a ultral...ight boat that then requires weights to ba added in order to meet minimum weight requirements. Makes sense if a boat has to weigh 12kg to use 12kg of carbon fiber for a strong, stiff and durable kayak, but that’s not often the case. Specs: L: 520cm W: 41cm Weight: 12kg Athlete Weight: 85+ kg Stability level: 1 Construction: Extra - 2.0mm core material, Carbon reinforcement, vinyl water resin, vacuum bagged. This boat has been demo’d and is not perfect cosmetically but is functionally good to go. Most cosmetic issues are on the deck with some tiny scratches on the hull. Regularly $2895 were asking $2000 for this particular boat.

We’re very close to being completely sold-out of intermediate skis for the 2020 season, but have a couple still available including this display model 2019 Think Ace in Elite layup. L: 18’ W: 22 Weight: 12kg... The Ace is Think’s competitor to the Epic V8. It runs a little quicker and is a touch less stable than the V8 and has a tighter and deeper bucket plus a small day hatch aft of the cockpit. Regularly priced at $4795 , we’re asking $4,495 for this never-paddled display model that’s in fantastic condition.

*** SOLD *** Another great deal from our remaining stock that’s on clearance is this Wenonah J-193 marathon C1 in Ultralight Graphite construction. It’s never been paddled, but does have some cosmetic issues, namely some pitting in the clear coat around the gunwales and bow and stern, but doesn’t affect the functionality of the boat. We’re asking $3000 for this one, regularly priced at $4,895.

*** SOLD!!!*** We’ve taken another $500 off the price of this boat! Up for sale is this very lightly used demo KAPE Marino 565 racing sea kayak in Premium full Carbon construction. It’s a quirky boat, something like a cross between a sea kayak, Sprint K1 and a surfski. ... L: 5.65m (18.5’) W: 45cm (17.7) Paddler Weight 65-100kg This particular boat is equipped with a full racing footboard, tiller steering and a Smart Track overstern kickup rudder with uphaul. It’s stability level is 3, so not the most stable kayak, but not super tippy either. Here’s KAPE’s description of this boat: The Marino 565 has been designed as a racing SEA KAYAK - a fast model for experienced sea paddlers. But as its minimal rocker (almost flat) hull balances its narrow width it also becomes a good choice for intermediate paddlers in flat water conditions (rivers & lakes). This boat regularly sells for $3,495, we’re asking $1500 obo on this particular kayak.

Another very lightly used demo ski is up for sale at KSC. This Epic V10L in Ultra layup has been demo’d once, but does have some very slight gelcoat damage on the left (port) side under the Epic decals.
