Evolve Practitioner: Kayla Rothe, RMT #adventurer #GetOutThere While studying massage therapy in BC I fell in love with the outdoors. The stunning landscape o...f mountains, forests, and lakes gave endless opportunities to play in the wilderness. Living in Calgary I have found myself heading west to beautiful K-country to take advantage of our own backyard playground in winter or summer seasons there are so many outdoor activities to enjoy. With warmer weather you can find me hiking and camping Kananaskis. My favourite and most challenging hike so far has been Mt. Indefatigable located at the Upper Kananaskis Lake. In my experience the more challenging a hike is the more rewarding it is to reach the top. The breathtaking views are humbling and worth every bit of sweat it took climbing up. I am looking forward to conquering a few more challenging mountains this summer. During the colder months snowboarding is my favourite activity and the views from the mountains are just as spectacular in a winter wonderland. Nothing better than a solid day of snowboarding fresh powder on the mountains and finishing it off with a relaxing evening in the hot tub. I am always looking forward to my next outdoor adventure and love sharing these experiences with friends and family. Whatever the activity I encourage everyone to leave their cell phone off for a few hours, grab a friend or two to take a break from the urban hustle and breath some fresh mountain air. ~Recap of another eventful year ~ Loving my practice here in this beautful city of Calgary and feeling so grateful for my outstanding clients and coworkers at my new home away from home. Big thanks to the Evolve crew and my supportive friends and family that make it all possible. We are off to a great start with a warm welcoming January, can't wait to see what 2015 has in store!
