I’ve never known true pain until this evening when I busted my computer screen only to receive the most beautiful film scans that I was waiting on to finish a bunch of galleries that I now have to admire from afar until my husbands computer finishes downloading Lightroom and all of my editing presets. Please send me strength and wine. (Also, yes, I edited this on my phone in an episode of pure weakness but can you blame me? I simply cannot with these two)

If I told you I shot this session on the side of the road, would you believe me? I was supposed to shoot this would-be wedding day session for Alison and Mike (with their adorable son in tow!) at Scotsdale Farm... only we showed up to find that the whole area was closed because they were filming a TV show. Since we were actually early for the session I pivoted and suggested another favourite spot, Forks of the Credit Conservation. ... Welp.. as luck would have it - it was also closed due to some COVID-19 restrictions. I told them to just trust me and follow my car to an area by a bridge I spotted on the drive there and we somehow made our third choice look like our first Guys - trust your photographers. This isn’t the first time I’ve made something like a parking lot or an alleyway work wonders and it definitely won’t be the last. I’m just so thankful for clients like this who will let me call the shots and follow that good light!

I’ve absolutely loved having the time to photograph more newborn sessions this year, but it was a little extra sweet being able to photograph my new nephew for the first time Swipe for the cutest baby booty!

Say it with me, guys... COVID weddings are just as special as non-COVID weddings Shawn and Kim may have had to downsize their guest list, but this day was full of just as much emotion and human connection (if not more!) than any other wedding I’ve shot in my career. Not to mention the fact that it was stunning from start to finish! Weddings aren’t always about a wild dance floor.
