How does the booking engine you use to book your holidays thank you? It probably sends you a confirmation with your booking information, and potentially a little "thank you" at the bottom of your email. Does it write you a personalized email with all your itineraries, invoices, and detailed information, while thanking you for your business? Does it re-confirm your flights, hotels, and transport before you depart?... Does it send you another email with your e-tickets, and then another personalized email full of travel tips and information you should know, based on the destination you're going to? Does it send you a hand-written card in the mail, along with a gift, waiting for you when you return home? Does it offer support if you need it? How about checking in with you a few days after you're back home to see how your trip was? Does it give you it's personal cell phone in case of an emergency? And does it leave that cell phone turned on, 24 hours a day, while you are traveling? No? You may want to think about changing how you book your travel, because I sure do all of the above!

What is something you would love to do right now? Somewhere you would love to go, if you could? I have a two part answer: on the simple side, I would love to be able to hop in the car and go shopping, even to the grocery store, without concern! On a bigger scale, I'd love to get back to my travel business and even start planning my next vacation!

You’ve all swooped in over the past month to get people home safely and to help clients navigate travel during this chaotic and overwhelming time. To all of the health care professionals, veterinary professionals, police officers, paramedics, grocery store employees, delivery people, and everyone else who has to work with the public and cannot stay home thank you for all that you do!

I love the Caribbean - the beaches, clear water, warm temperatures, but somewhere that has always been on my list is Iceland! Not surprisingly, Iceland is known for its frozen landscapes. And while the country isn’t exactly the icy tundra people expect it to be, one of the best times to experience it is in winter. From floating icebergs to sweeping glacier tongues and dazzling blue glacier ice caves, Iceland truly is an unbelievable sight to see in all of its natural glory.
