FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 21, 2020 WALSH APPOINTED INTERIM-PRESIDENT OF CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL SPEAKERS... National organization appoints Island entrepreneur as Atlantic Chapter Interim-President, first from PEI. Charlottetown, PE: Award-winning entrepreneur, Krista Walsh, was recently appointed Interim-President of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) Atlantic chapter. Walsh is the first President of the Atlantic chapter to be from Prince Edward Island. Aside from her work as a professional speaker, she is also the President of KC Collect!, a debt collection agency based in Prince Edward Island, established in 2005. She has been an active member of CAPS since 2015 and has made a dramatic impact on the organization across the Atlantic region. She will be assuming the position from Past President Colleen Cole of Nova Scotia. Joe Sherren, a Past President and founding member of the CAPS National Organization, had this to say about Krista: She is a dynamic leader with remarkable enthusiasm. With her not-for-profit business experience and knowledge, she will definitely be an asset in growing the Atlantic Chapter. I am proud to show my support for her on this endeavour. Originally from Montague, PEI, Walsh has been awarded many accolades throughout her career. These include being recognized on two separate occasions as an ‘Atlantic Canada Emerging Leader’, the Eastern PEI Chamber of Commerce ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’, and a CAPS ‘Rising Star’. Previously, she held the role of President with Volleyball PEI for over a decade, has been a director with the PEI Business Women’s Association, a director with 21 Inc., and continues to be a mentor for aspiring entrepreneurs in her community.
