I absolutely loved being a Farrier! I competed my training at the Kwantlen University Farrier Program for 1 year in Cloverdale BC. I went on to apprentice with @ravencustomiron (Justin Martin) and learned so much. A back injury stopped my career doing that but it gave me very valuable skills and knowledge that help me now with bodywork! I do still keep my skills up to date with trimming cuties like this!

Today we are sharing an interview from Gina Kindscher of Morning Sun Ranch in Watsonville, California during the last Certification Course. Gina runs the ranch ...with her family and they take in horses that need rehabilitation or are difficult cases that need special attention. Masterson Method equine bodywork is 'fast' according to Gina and an essential part of healing and recovery. Feeling Inspired The past 2 days I have been part or Karen Rohlfs Transform your business event. It was a jam packed two days with nearly 150 like minded folks from around the world. As an equine bodyworker we often work alone, which has its pros and cons. What I miss most about my previous corporate role for a global staffing company is the team, collaboration and continual training and support in personal development. I thrive in a group supporting others, feeling encourag...ed, sharing ideas, and always pushing each other to be better! I have come out of the event feeling inspired to create this on a local scale! My goal for next year is to save the$ 8500 to be part of Karens Mastermind Group, but in the meantime I will be brainstorming on how to fulfill this need here and now! During the event we were encouraged to write down our brilliant ideas and I would like to share a few of them with you as KC Equine Wellness will have some new offerings throughout the year! I would also love to hear from you if you have any ideas or suggestions on how I can Help you Help your Horse on an even greater scale. For example: educational opportunities online and in person, specific clinics, BEMER sessions, Red Light Therapy for humans or canines, supplements, Back on Track products. Why Wednesday ~ What are subtle responses from the horse? Answer: The correct level of touch will put your horse in a relaxed frame of mind enabling him to more... easily tell you through his responses when you have successfully helped him to release tension. Watching these responses continually will allow you to see where tension is stored and see or feel when the horse lets go of it. Some of the responses you will see are Blinking or twitching of the eye Change in breathing Sighing or letting out a breath Dropping the head Softening of the eye or facial expression As you practice these Techniques, you will find that very soon your recognition and use of these responses will become automatic and second nature.
