There is a need for first aid instructors all over New Brunswick. KCM First Aid Services will be offering the First Aid Instructor Development Courses in November! The FAI-Pathway consists of 3 steps. Step 1: Must meet the prerequisites. (WSFA trained, over 18, and skills checklist)... KCM First Aid Services is a Canadian Red Cross training provider in the Fredericton and Surrounding area. We are currently looking for an energetic and passionate person to become a Youth Leader! A Youth Leader facilitates our Babysitter and Stay Safe! programs. This is a part-time position. Are you someone who is: - Over 16 years of age - Energetic and Outgoing... - Friendly and Caring - Trained in Workplace Standard First Aid w/Level C CPR - Able to work weekends and occasional weekdays (School PD days) - Able to work alone and/or supervised Preference will be given to those who are already trained youth leaders but anyone may apply. Hi Everyone! KCM is back in full swing offering their full line-up of First Aid programs! School starts in about a month so now is the perfect time to get your youth into our Babysitting and Stay Safe! programs. Do you have a young person who will be staying home alone for a couple hours at a time this year? Ask about our Stay Safe! program for ages 9+!!! Next course is August 17th!

To all my Valued Customers KCM First Aid Services has been missing all our wonderful clients, and we hope you are all managing well through these unprecedented times that have required so many changes to business operations. As of June 1, 2020, we will be reopening and booking private and public courses. The original schedule for 2020 will still be used for the rest of the year. In order to catch up more quickly and safely, as many employers will need employees trained, I am... encouraging companies and individuals to use our blended online and in-class Workplace Standard First Aid course: eight hours of individual online instruction, and eight hours of class time, for June specifically, if possible. This would mean the first day of the original two-day courses for June will be the in-class portion for the Blended course. The in-class portion would, of course, adhere to stringent Public Health recommendations, including ensuring a small class size of no more than 8 people at KCM’s facility and physical distancing of six feet or more. For private courses offsite we can still have classes at the maximum of 18 as long as there is enough space for physical distancing of 6 feet or more. Please note: WSFA 6-hour Practical Skill Reviews and CPR/AED only participants will be accommodated for as well, again keeping the 2020 schedule. Until further notice any participant showing signs and symptoms of cold or flu will not be able to attend in person courses. KCM highly recommends gloves and face masks for all participants. Gloves will be provided free of charge. Face masks will be available at a cost and everyone is encouraged to purchase one or bring one of their own for the safety of all. The original fee for our courses will otherwise remain the same. Many other precautions and safety procedures will be applied during the in-class portion and will be explained before all courses start. Covid-19 Update We hope you are all staying safe and well. We know how hard this must be on all of you especially on our other small business friends. We have a couple of updates for you. First of all, Red Cross has extended all certificates expiring soon for an additional 3 months from the time of expiry. We have also been in contact with WorkSafe NB and they have informed us that at this time they won’t be enforcing this rule for now until first aid training providers ...like ourselves are able to resume. We hope this offers some comfort for those of you who need this training but are finding yourselves on hard times due to the Covid-19 shut down. We know and understand at this time that first aid training is not a priority for many. For this reason we have decided to postpone all training until the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted/adjusted to allow us to offer training again. This will take effect as of April 1, 2020. We look forward to seeing you and shaking your hand or giving you a hug once we are able to again offer our in-class training. Please follow and like our Facebook page. We will also have multiple public courses available for everyone once we know when we'll be able to operate again. We may be postponing everything for a while, but we are always here and you’ve all heard us say when you take first aid from us you have joined our family and we mean that.
