Following Dr. Bonnie Henry's announcement yesterday of the continuing public health restrictions, Kingfisher hall will remain closed until at least January 8. Best wishes for the holiday season. We look forward to 2021 when we hope to be once again coming together at the hall to enjoy each other's company.
Effective today, we are closing the Hall to all uses for a period of 2 weeks. We recognize that this is necessary in order to follow public health orders issued yesterday by Dr. Bonnie Henry. We will monitor the public health orders and hope to be able to re-open the Hall when it is safe to do so. Stay safe everyone.
First, thanks to everyone who attended our AGM on November 7. The Directors presented their reports on the 2019/2020 fiscal year. Our RDNO Area F Director, Denis Delisle presented an update and we also heard from Suzanne Clark about the Kingfisher school. We thank outgoing Director Megan Clark-Martin for her two years of service. Megan was our membership Director and was one of the main organizers of the successful Family Dance last winter. We really appreciate a young community member stepping forward. We welcome Suzanne Clark on the Board of Directors. It was nice to actually see our community members back in the Hall.
What a day! As I write this, I see little white flurries slowly making their way down. But this won't stop us from making our way to the Kingfisher Hall at 1pm today, for our Annual General Meeting. Not to worry, Laura Jameson, our Safety Coordinator will ensure all protocols are followed, to ensure our health and safety, during this time.... Hope to see you there! Lots of changes are in the air, and you don't want to miss this!
We are pleased to announce a limited re-opening of Kingfisher hall. A Covid-19 safety plan has been approved by the Directors. The plan is posted at the hall. Highlights of the plan: Public health guidelines are in effect- stay home if sick, hand washing/sanitizing and signing in on entry, wearing masks when physical distancing is not possible. Each group will have a designated 'organizer' who will assist participants to follow the procedures. Hall use is limited to commun...ity activities only. We will not be renting the hall at this time. More information will be available at the AGM November 7th at 1 pm at the hall. You can also contact the Safety Coordinator- Laura Jameson [email protected] 250 838 6379. See more
