Our team gets the job done not once but twice this morning at Junction Pool!

Water has dropped a bit overnight.

Water went up considerably since yesterday but appears to be dropping back some now.

It will soon be that time again! Big bright, hard fighting fish!

Water continues to imitate a jumping bean. Barely just frozen over despite all the cold weather in Kedgwick River this winter.

A few August fish!

A small bump in the water overnight-might make a difference!

Our party that left today ended their session with a total of 40 fish (majority of them salmon). An interesting fact is that 21 of them were released all taking the same fly! Several others were lost on this pattern as well. Scary that all those fish wanted the same pattern. Can’t give out the pattern as it would be breaking a secret vow!

Who says big flies don’t catch big fish? One of our guests released these two beautiful fish yesterday safely back to the river.

Some nice fish in the river. They appear very healthy and eager to take flies!

Significant downward trend in the water levels in the last while.Water seems to have a hard job holding at decent levels now. I wonder if the massive clearcutting of our forests may play a role here? If one looks at the amount of snowfall in the headwaters last winter compared to how quick it ran off-there is a determining factor somewhere and I’m certain its not evaporation!

Quite a drop! River actually looks fishy tonight!

River is in drop mode overnight and today.

Up a bit this morning.

Running right around 4 metres today-decent pitch of water on!

On the rise after some rain. If it remains like this it should be a good run-off with great water levels to open the season!
