Conference Speakers of the Day Perry Kinkaide has a MSc, PhD, and a CMC. He is an accomplished manager and visionary, a change agent with passion and perspective. Since retiring in 2001, Perry has remained active as an advisor and director for several diverse public and private organizations. He is the Founder (2005) and Past-President of the Alberta Council of Technologies Society. His pre-retirement positions include: - Canadian Knowledge Management Practice Leader and Man...aging Partner for KPMG Consulting in Edmonton (1987-2001). - Assistant Deputy Minister, Director of Privatization and Funding Reform, Edmonton Regional Director and Regional Coordinator of Services for the Handicapped with the Alberta Government (1972-1986). She has been deeply involved in the autism community on many levels both professionally and personally since her sons were diagnosed in 2002. Marcy is a trained educator; however, she also works in the banking industry full time. She is also a certified Yoga & Meditation Instructor. She has a huge passion for making a difference for those affected by autism and their caregivers and is currently working on building a teen & young adult meditation & yoga program for those affected by autism. She is also currently studying under Tony Robbins to be a certified Life & Empowerment coach for parents of children with autism and Special needs. Marcy lives in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada.

Conference Speakers of the Day Kirsten Harrison is a Community Relations and Employment Coordinator at Goodwill Industries of Alberta. She supports individuals with barriers find and retain meaningful employment or volunteer opportunities within Strathcona County. She has been working at Goodwill in Career Connections for a year and a half. Her previous employment was at Ardrossan Elementary School in the PALS program supporting students with disabilities from 2.5-5 years old..., she spent 12 years in that program. Buddy Winder is a co-owner, and Executive Director, of Winder Inclusive Communities Service (WICS). WICS is a small, private, not-for-profit organization that supports adults living with intellectual disabilities to become involved in their communities in meaningful ways. Buddy is committed to inclusion, and dedicated to having people with disabilities seen as the contributing citizens that they are.

Conference Speakers of the Day David Chizen is a Safeway representative who worked for Safeway Canada since 1980 as a courtesy clerk and worked his way up to store manager, and has managed seven stores. Rosanna Chu is an Employment Specialist with the Robin Hood Association for the last 5 years. She is a dedicated and ambitious professional, she has a proven track record of exceptional levels of service to maximize opportunities to improving the quality of life for person with disabilities. Rosanna acts as a social, recreational, and employment role model to coach and assist individuals in service to participate and contribute effectively within the community and an employment setting.
