Hello All It is with a very heavy heart that that i share this news . One if Our most loved and dedicated Friends & Volunteers Hazel Wilmott passed away sudddenly yesterday. She was 88. Hazel was with Keeping Kids Warm from year 2 back in 2004. She was always there to help Us Help Our Homeless. She would hold Our monthly meetings. Our Summer barbecue and Christmas get togethers at her home. She assisted Me with Knitting/Crocheting classes at Huron College for 9 years. Her Husband Ken predeacesed her last year. Hazel & Ken have two Children. A Son Kevin and a Daughter Karen. 5 Grandchildren and i think 4 great Grandchildren. A Son in Law Nick. I know for Me i will miss her laughter teasing and love. Hello Everyone. Many Folks have been asking Me about donations and Helping Our Homeless Folks out. As of Sept. 30th. We will be asking for coats, heavy sweaters, hoodies and blankets. All items donated must be clean and in good shape. We will be delivering these items randomly over the next few months. Due to covid, precautions will be taken. There are a few Groups going out in Our Community as well. We support " Just A Bunch Of Friends" in their mission as well. If you have other clothing items youd like to donate. Please take to Mission Store on York @ Rectory. Or Teen Challenge on Commissioners @ Highbury. If youd like to help with food & water. Please Contact me for more information. Covid has taken its toll on many of Us. But, we still need to help those in need. Thank You

Hello All. Hope Everyone is having as good a summer as possible. Its coming to the end of August and that means August Tent Sale! Unfortunately this year it is cancelled. Terrible for Us though.. Usually at this time of year, our Crafters are starting Our Winter Projects for Our Homeless Friends. We have barely any yarn! Spinrite doesnt really have anything thats suitable for Us. We will be going elsewhere for Yarn Deals. My Volunteers and I are going to be looking in the next few days. Any suggestions or ideas would be welcome. Please bare with Us as we try to find the best deals. Also Our locker needs to be addressed. If anyone is available to help sort it out and bag up our items for winter. Please Contact Me. The weather is getting a bit more tolerable. Safe distancing and masks will be needed. Thank You
