Exciting night tonight! Kira and her family went to the Montreal Canadien Alumni tour, and were treated extra special! Kira was asked to drop the puck, given souvenirs and had some fun with the players.

Some of you must be wondering how Kira is making out now that treatment is complete, and she is home. Well, things are going pretty great! Kira just celebrated her birthday with a party and several friends this week, her actual birthday is coming up later this month. The Richardson's recently traveled to Palm Springs, CA (a trip that was booked, but cancelled after Kira's diagnosis) to visit family and do some sight seeing (DISNEYLAND!!!) And just this week, Kira's mom also r...eported that they have heard results on all of the final testing that was done recently: "I can breathe again! Just got the call from the hospital that we've been waiting for...all Kira's cancer tests came back clear!!!!!!! So happy!! BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER!" Thank you to everyone who has offered support and kindness over the past year, and please join me in wishing Kira and her family a wonderful Christmas and a quiet and healthy year in 2016! See more

Another amazing moment for Kira, Mr. Johnny Reid put on a spectacular show in Red Deer and Kira was a special guest.

Meet Kira! Since February Kira has had 6 surgeries, one of which was to amputate part of her left leg on May 5th, spent 97 nights in the hospital, had 136 needl...e pokes, 7 blood transfusions and 20 rounds of Chemotherapy. Luckily, cancer treatment for Osteosarcoma has come a long way since 1977 with cure rates in the 80% range. Kira has responded really well to the Chemotherapy and was informed this month that she is currently CANCER FREE! During this journey Kira has been an inspiration to everyone she meets with her positive attitude, and strong spirit!
