FYI OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT Dear Western Canada Freeride community.... WCF worked hard to build multiple event schedules and dial in logistics. We worked in cooperation with our committed resort partners creating a cohesive Covid-19 plan addressing safety concerns. We ascended to the top of the mountain. We are ready to drop in. However, our beloved sport involves many factors that are often out of our control. Often mother nature determines the success of the descent, event or season. In this instance, Provincial Health Officers have applied restrictions indefinitely. We do not have a green light to drop into our competitive season. Under PHO restrictions, heartbreakingly, WCF is unable to provide a regional series for our community. All of our resort partners have confirmed event cancelation. WCF is in support of local clubs who are still able to move forward with grass roots initiatives. Thank you kindly for your understanding and continued support. Until we meet again next season. Update KHMR FWT 2020 defending champion @jesshotter1 is navigating the Covid environment by making the difficult choice to stay home in NZ, instead of travelling to Europe for the first FWT stop! But even bigger news for Canadian boyz, word on the street, she’s missing the BC POW and is on the look-out for a Canadian husband. All the best Je...ss, we sure hope to see you at stop #2! If that isn’t enough of a blow for the Freeride fans, Quattro move of the day and past FWT rookie of the year sensation @jac_pollard announced that she’s on the couch with a dislocated patella and will also miss FWT stop #1.
