First time with the flag for the coming yearlings today. The biggest thing I’ve learned recently is to ask for more but also release more. And to forget about putting the halter on and focus on watching the signs they give me about when to move in closer. Yep, he’s Fresh! I bet he’s thinking about getting lucky on Valentines Day not happening but.. He’ll be in great condition when he heads out to pasture this summer. Already got about 8 outside mares joining him (or coming to be hand bred). So at least he’ll get a chance to burn some of that energy #lbsmokinjack

This sweet boy is Gill aka SMOKIN CLOSE SHAVE. Gill is short for Gillette cause his sires name is Razor *video in comments He’ll be two in spring. He’s a compact horse and a very nice mover. Picks up his lope so easily. He was the first one to catch on to everything. I think Gill will go on to make someone a wonderful riding partner. He’s just so willing.
