It’s been 5 months since I’ve posted. 5 months since I shot my last session. And honestly? That’s mostly ok. I don’t have the business mindset, the entrepreneurial drive or the mental space to compete in my market, to play the social media game to get my content out there. And my day job is pretty great, and takes a great deal of my time and creative energy. So I’ve been thinking a lot about shutting my social media down and shooting for fun, family and friends only from now ...on. I think I enjoy my camera most when I make my favourite people look like their beautiful selves. That said, next weekend is the #2020bcwintergames and I will be out at a few events and might post here a little bit before shutting this down in the Spring. There are so many incredible photographers in our area, so many who pour hours and hours of blood, sweat and tears into their businesses, their craft, and I am just not feeling led to pursue a business. And then there were four. The beautiful Harris family met me in the forest for some family photos this afternoon and I got to meet their new baby girl! Congrats to you guys!

Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree - Emily Bronte. The Spruyt family met me in the woods today for a frolic in the leaves and we all marveled at the colours and beauty of the season! Thanks guys for trusting me yet again to capture your memories and love <3

Sending off a beautiful gallery for these guys (and their kids) this dreary Sunday morning. As Fall settles in and school and work routines pick back up, I’m just so thankful to all of the clients who trusted me this summer! I have known this family now for 7 years, I have watched their kids grow, and I have had the privilege of capturing their memories a few times and I am so honoured! I loved going to a gorgeous location, giggling at their antics, and I'm thrilled they ran to catch a photo with the train just before we left!! Thanks for trusting me again Braun's!! On Monday I spent the day in Jasper with my love. I got out my tripod and used my phone as my remote and got a few pictures of us. I was running around getting angles and making sure he was looking the right way. You’re in a photoshoot right now, You know that right? I asked him. I figured as much was his reply and he happily posed for me for a while. Take pictures of your adventures friends, even if they are selfies. They matter! And if your husband or wife complain, take a couple kissy photos- it’ll help motivate them, promise

One of my favourite things to do during a Family Photo session is to take 5 minutes with Mom and Dad for a mini couple session! I think that it's something we don't do enough with our significant other, and it's so important to capture the passing of time in your marriage. Give these two some love! I just sent off their gallery and I love the entire thing!
