I can't believe this happened 19 years ago. It feels like time just escapes me, and it's still just like it happened yesterday. I remember watching in school. I was 12. I never felt that kind of shock before. Sadly it was the start of me actually seeing racism too. What came after this attack sadly started a wave of discrimination and fear towards the wrong direction.... My heart goes out to everyone that was and is still effected by this event. It must be so hard for you every year to relive the whole experience in your memories. <3 <3 <3

Didn't get a ton of photos on Sunday night but at least managed a few. The wedding was absolutely beautiful, I'm so happy that I could be a part of it. Long story short, Kira saw me out at a local karaoke bar 4-5 years ago, while I was out with my mom. She had family in town and they all ended up coming to the Perch. Her family is from the area but she lives in the lower mainland. It just so happened that we were at a pub away from both of our cities at the same time. Fast fo...rward nearly 5 years and her and her Fiance's(now husband) wedding that was supposed to happen in Mexico was cancelled and planned again to be in Summerland. Thus, she decided to try and contact me to be a part of her day. Because of my back injury, I was indefinitely paused with music, so none of my music pages or contacts were running. Kira tried my Music facebook page, my work email, my old cellphone and even Instagram(which I wasn't using at the time). Because I wasn't responding she decided to contact my personal facebook and finally got in touch with me. She asked me to sing her aisle song and during her reception. Of course I said yes! Kira, I was and I will forever be honored that you wanted me to participate in your amazingly special day. It was my first performance in 2 years and I'm completely humbled that I got to break that record with your wedding. You were so unbelievably beautiful and John is one hell of a lucky man to call you his wife. You are both incredibly lucky to have found one another, and I am so grateful to have gotten to know you both and was able to share in one of the most special days of your life. Don't forget to call me to come sing for all the anniversary parties!! Xox Love you!!

Just wanted to update everyone. I recently have been dealing with a lot of back issues, which led to me having spinal surgery on May 13th. I am doing great, just recovering and healing beautifully! I should be back up and performing in a few months, and I am looking forward to it! Thanks for all the support and love. I know I've been quiet during this time, but I felt I needed the space and time to come to terms with and heal my mental and physical health. Love you all. Xoxo
