When you feel something is off with your body, one of the best ways to assess your symptoms is to track them! In chronic pain, tracking is key to understanding your triggers and effectiveness of medications, and it's a great tool to communicate how you're feeling with your doctor! Tracking doesn't stop at chronic pain though. Tracking your progress through depression, fitness training, a personal goal, and breaking habits has a huge impact on how well you do! If you can see t...hat you feel less anxiety this month than the last month, you're more apt to be more successful than trying to REMEMBER how you felt a month ago! Be careful to not look back on your recent progress too frequently, however! Bodies and brains need time to heal and grow, so compare your progress from realistic intervals to not discourage yourself! Tracking is a long term thing, and it's extremely beneficial! Hi, and welcome to Kelli's Pain Consulting! I've been in chronic pain for 13 years with a chronic headache, migraines, and a bone disease in 62 joints, so I've gained a lot of experience in being a patient. Despite my health troubles and a time with depression, I've managed to maintain a positive attitude. However, I see many of my fellow patients who are frightened, confused, worried, depressed, and even many who have given up and ready to end their life.
