Home Selling Etiquette101. When you leave your home to someone else.. as in selling. Please do them the courtesy of cleaning it. ... See.. they've paid you thousands and thousands and thousands.. more than you've ever thought possible when you bought the home many years ago. Please remember that. And they did it because they fell in love with your home. Your home. They chose yours. These Buyers.. they are excited. Super excited. They are excited to move in, and get settled. Have their family over. One day. Raise their little ones. Or their pups. Flowers, wine and a welcome note on the counter would be super nice too. But that's an extra and we're not expecting that. Bonus points if you do. But clean the fridge. And the stove. Please. Take your stuff. They don't need your mustard or old lettuce. They don't even want your fruit. And they don't want your dirt. This week, I've had two families move into their new homes. Both had to unlock the door to their new home and walk into this. Folks, you can do better. This pic? Has nothing to do with the post. But it makes me happy. And one of these families told me that they painted their daughters bedroom a pinky pink for her, so this little one could walk into her brand new home with it's fairy tale bedroom, while family scrubbed and cleaned the dirt that someone chose to leave behind. So let's focus on the pink. And the people. Let's choose to be kind. To each other.
