Are you struggling with where to start? It really doesn’t have to be too complicated in the beginning! If you are beginner, start with doing your squats onto your desk chair. If push-ups are scary, do them against the wall or on a bannister to start. Lunges can also be done with less range of motion to start off! There are so many ways to start to incorporate more movement into your life! I have always encouraged my clients to write everything down in advance of their day and to share it with me if they are struggling. Beginning with their daily intentions to their breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, water and their daily movement. Trust me when I say, writing everything down will help you hold yourself much more accountable. As well, studies have proven that when you share your plan with others, the more likely you are to follow through. My clients who do this... consistently not only create healthier habits with support, they have also had amazing results reaching their weight loss/healthier lifestyle goals. Writing everything down, will help you stay focused, on track and you will hold yourself more accountable to yourself! This week I have encouraged my Accountability Group members to set their daily intentions (the night prior) and to post their plans throughout the week. Doing so will also help them strengthen their new habits that they have been creating over the past few weeks. Some members post about their exercise intentions, some post about their water intentions and some post about their food. It’s their journey just like it is your journey. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Our final green vegetable, Celery!!! Celery is full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and helps support digestion! And if you haven’t tried celery soup, it’s a MUST!! This was a wonderful delivery from my friend Rosalind Wright Celery soup... 1.5 cups chopped onions 2 bunches celery, coarsely chopped 2 medium potatos, peeled and chopped Chicken stock (about 5-6 cups) Fresh thyme Salt and pepper to taste - Sauté onion in butter or olive oil until tender. - add celery and potatoes and cook another 5 minutes. - add chicken stock- just enough to cover vegetables. - add a few sprigs of thyme - cover and cook 25-30 minutes - remove from heat and purée with immersion blender until smooth. - salt and pepper to taste #celery #celerysoup #green #greenveggies

6 Days of Green Today I introduce broccoli Did you know that broccoli is low in calories, low in carbs, high in fiber and protein and is an excellent source of Vitamin C, A, and a compound called sulforaphane which has been linked to many health benefits. The best part is, broccoli can be eaten in so many different ways! Making the perfect roasted broccoli couldn’t be easier! Here’s what you need to do:... First, preheat the oven to 400 and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. While the oven warms up, break a head of broccoli into evenly sized florets. Spread them on the baking sheet in a single layer. Toss the broccoli florets with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Transfer them to the hot oven and bake for 15 to 22 minutes, until the florets are browned and crisp around the edges. This client review showed up in my mailbox this weekend and my day was made. Have I mentioned that I love my job? I am so proud of Jen. She first joined my Spring Accountability group and she worked hard to implement my clean eating program, tips and suggestions. Since then she has continued her journey by also joining my summer and fall accountability groups. She looks absolutely AMAZING!!! Jen accomplished her summer goals and has set new ones for the fall. I am looking for...ward to continuing to support Jen on this healthy lifestyle journey. This is what Jen had to say... I first wanted to start working with Kelly in March but then Covid hit. While we were all in lockdown my husband did a lot of cooking and baking and I did a lot of eating!! When I saw that she was starting a Spring Accountability group I decided it was time to join and I am so glad I did! Meet Amy!! Amy joined us for our last 2 accountability groups and knocked it out of the park! She lost 7lbs and 9 inches!!!!! Amy is proof that, with a few small tweaks, change can happen! Congratulations Amy! Here is what Amy had to say: I feel healthier, lighter and ready to take on September! For me the biggest take aways from this were: I was not eating enough protein! I have always been a reasonably healthy eater and an exerciser but I have cooked and eaten so many diff...erent things during these challenges and I now have more options for healthy meals. The group motivated me to try new foods and exercise routines and to stick to it. For me this time of year is always tough. Going back to school in September I always feel like my fall clothes are tight and uncomfortable after a summer of indulging. I recently put on pants and they feel looser, more comfortable and I feel so much better about myself! That’s a big win for me. See more

WOW! Meet Amanda! Talk about RESULTS! Amanda joined both my spring and summer programs and ran with them!!! She showed up consistently for everything I offered and jumped in with both feet! From May 11- Aug 25, I’m proud to say that Amanda is Down 19.8 lbs (I’m calling that 20lbs!) and 30.75 inches!!!! No gimmicks, just clean food and exercise! Congratulations Amanda for taking the bull by the horns, your commitment and dedication paid off HUGE! Here’s what Amanda had to say...: Thank you so much for all of your encouragement. I loved trying the new recipes. I now love having salads for lunch and they keep me full. The workouts were what impacted me the most. Since having kids I have struggled to make physical activity a part of my daily life/routine. Now, I have committed to working out on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s and I stick with it. If I miss a workout (when I am away), I always do an extra workout when I get home. The August movement challenge has also helped me to set my intentions for the day (in the morning or night before) for the type of purposeful movement that I plan to do each day. Thank you Kelly!!

Meet Nathalie! What an absolute pleasure this journey has been! I have so enjoyed watching her transformation . Kelly is my health coach, and I want to let everyone know just how much of a difference Kelly has made for me. I met Kelly last November, I was looking for help getting out of a vicious cycle of fad diets, weight loss then weight gain...and on and on the cycle went. Every pound gained came with frustration, guilt and a slew of negative feelings. My journey with... Kelly started with me wanting to lose weight once and for all... but what she taught me was soooo much more! Kelly was able to help me fix my horrible relationship with food, she taught me about eating clean, and also helped me realize that I needed to give myself a break, eliminate guilt, and that perfect is not the goal... I lost 18 lbs with Kelly to date - this through holidays and events that traditionally would have resulted in me gaining weight. I’ve started a regular exercise routine, and feel great inside and out. Since the start of the pandemic, I have struggled to lose, have reached a plateau.
