Kelly's Paint Nights

Its been such a long time since my last post!!! I hope everyone is safe and well in these uncertain times! . . I have been working hard on the book i posted about back in June. And also on my other business SkandleS. Kyle and I have renovated our studio to be able to expand and start our website which is very exciting!... . . I was getting ready to start planning classes and paint nights again before the Covid19 began, which is obviously now on hold. . . I will be offering some short free drawing tutorials over facetime. Simple pen/pencil and paper drawings. If that goes well i may offer full classes . . I am also planning on offering colouring books that can either be printed and available for porch pickup or download through my website once its launched. . . I also am hoping to offer wooden crafts to paint as a families . . If you have any other suggestions or ideas please feel free to comment and let me know! . . This weekend i was invited to attend the lovely Mia's very important 7th birthday party! Her and her friends painted horses and flowers! They all did awesome!! Its been a while since ive done a party as i have been crazy busy with SkandleS and markets.... Last weekend I had the pleasure of being invited to host one of my long time students 12th birthday party!! Kate had requested to be a bad ass medieval babe! I was beyond excited to see how everyones would turn out!! There was one request for a blank canvas Everyone worked so hard and had a blast picking out their own colour palettes and making them their own. For me as an artist having a group of people paint my drawing is so interesting. I love seeing their ideas come to l...ife in my art! They inspire me so much Thank you for inviting me Kate you are truly growing and learning so much as a young artist

Last weekend was crazy for me between paint party and my other business SkandleS! Saturday I had a day market and was lucky enough to be invited to host the lovely Abigails birthday in the evening! She asked to paint unicorns with her friends! I was beyond excited to attend and see what ideas they would come up with Everyone did so awesome and put so much effort into their paintings there was literally 20 minutes of silence while they concentrated ... And a first ever experience for me... I always ask them where they will hang their work.... this party one very special little lady informed me she would actually be selling hers Thank you for sharing your special day with me and for all the fun art stories you ladies told me! You all inspired me so much! . . For myself as an artist watching children paint makes my heart so happy Listening and encouraging their ideas and seeing them come to life through art I have made for them is the best part of these parties. I also love being able to show children you can make art a full time career. So many people feel its just a dream job that they cannot obtain Showing them different truly inspires me to not ever stop!! Thank you for all your bookings and support I would never be able to show them that without them! . . Life has been very busy for me lately and i haven’t had much time to work on my page! But today im here trying For those of you that don’t know I have 3 awesome children and 2 businesses! Juggling is interesting lol! This year the SkandleS studio has had some upgrades and I also got another new studio for Kelly’s Paint nights! They are both in my home which makes the juggling some what easier I am often up till late in the night working on parties and my candles. Being i...n home businesses my family are very involved with helping me and running them when I’m not able! Its truly amazing where we have gotten too. This last week has been very busy for me as I had 3 parties to prepare I had been invited to host over the weekend. I was so excited to attend all 3 and had a lovely relaxing weekend regardless of appearing crazy busy lol. My first party on Saturday was to celebrate the lovely Chevelle’s very important 5th birthday! Her and her friends painted 5 cats They all did amazing and had so much fun! There were a few repeat paint party attenders who were so excited to add to their collections on their walls lol. That’s the best part of my job! Thank you so much for inviting me That evening I was invited to host the Ryley Library Fundraiser, we painted dolphins using a very simple method! Everyone did amazingly, some were extra impressed with their painting talents they had no idea they had! Sunday I was invited back to host the second fundraiser Kim had requested owls. I had so much fun drawing this one and was really excited to see how everyone would paint them. Some of the ladies chose to paint their own paintings which was totally fine with me They all did fabulously and had lots of fun truly making them their own and best part they had wine and snacks lol Thank you all for supporting me and the continual bookings and inviting me back! I am currently taking private and fundraiser bookings for the rest of 2019. I encourage you to book early as my schedule is starting to fill up fast. See more

I have been invited to host a couple of adult fundraisers at the Ryley library this coming weekend! I am really looking forward to it and seeing everyones work! Got my 5 cats painted and I can honestly say I think they are the coolest 5 cats I've ever seen I cant wait for the party!

Working in the studio today for fundraisers in April! I haven't painted paint class pictures for a while it's been a nice change! This is a step by step painting with a custom made dolphin stencil
