Hey everyone! We hope you’re doing well. If you’ve ordered from us in the last little while, we’ve probably discussed the current flower shortage with you at some point during your order and had to make some flower substitutions due to it. While we have been very fortunate to have a stocked cooler full of beautiful flowers for you all, it is difficult to make sure we have everything in all at once. This video shows you one of the primary reasons for this. ... This video was taken in South Africa and shows footage of the horrendous weather which is wreaking havoc on many of the countries our suppliers import flowers from. Currently South Africa is experiencing hail and rain on a mass scale; which results in destroying their crop. Here in Ontario, Mother Nature has also had quite the effect on our seasonal flowers. The months of January, February and March saw a drastic lack of sun, which cut our regular local growing season during these months shorter than normal. We hope that the weather returns to normal soon however for the time being, thank you for your patience as we continue to make beautiful arrangements for you all!

Feature Friday ......Walton Wood Farm!

If you remember back in 2017 and 2018, we had to opportunity to participate in an unbelievable floral design competition; Fleurs De Villes. This amazing, international bespoke competition challenged florists to get creative as possible and design spectacular attire, using a mannequin, flowers, a florists arsenal of tools and an abundance creativity. In 2017 we were proudly awarded the Florist Favourite Award and in 2018 the Fan Favourite Award, both at the Ottawa (Bayshore) S...hows. While Fleurs De Villes hasn’t yet returned to Ottawa for their competition, we have received some exciting news. Kelly’s Flowers will be featured on their new website, along with our award winning competition designs! The website will highlight florists who participated in the competition, and we look forward to seeing Kelly’s featured. In celebration of this, we hired an amazing photographer by the name is Mackenzie Fournier, to help capture our awesome team. Stay tuned to the Kelly’s website, as well as the Fleurs De Ville website to see us there. In the mean time, here is a sneak peak of our photo shoot and our competition entries. Today I volunteered, helping tie yellow ribbons onto the poles with the Veteran flags. This amazing campaign was organized by our local legion. Frances Kerr, seen in the flag here,is actually my husband Mike’s Grandfather. On Saturday family members will be placing a poppy on each yellow ribbon. #perthproud
