REALISTIC BLONDING This guest has been a dark, cool toned brunette for years and requested an ashy balayage. It has to be warm was my answer. Yes I could have put a super cool toner over top but it would have had to be much darker than the final result is and warmth would STILL be visible. This guest has had layers of permanent root touch ups and demi permanent glazes over the years so the promise of getting lots of lift without warmth is unrealistic. She is super sweet ...and was understanding our goal was a neutral/warm light brown. The result: 4 levels of healthy lift on fine, long, colour treated hair = BEAUTIFUL BRONDE BALAYAGE My maintenance tips: 1use colour safe shampoo and conditioner!!! Must! 2DO NOT wash your hair for at least 48 hrs after your service. Toner will be compromised. 3low heat or no heat for two weeks if you’ve received a bleaching service. This will prevent exposure of warm tones and those darned fuzzies while the cuticle naturally closes and becomes happier 4pre-book for a toner around 8 weeks from your initial service. It’ll make you feel freshened up without the long appointment. Toners can fill in little gaps in the cuticle too so you’ll have glossy freshed hair that can now last you until your next balayage service 5pre-book your next balayage! I know this seems like booking months in advance is unnecessary BUT those appointments need 3-4hrs+ and there are only so many of those available when you try and get it last minute

Pink hair don’t care!! Just did a little pink hair refresh for my girl @megz81 and I loooove the new #elumenplay colours!!! They are a semi permanent colour that have long lasting effects and fade on tone! That means it’ll fade out to a lighter pink until it’s gone and you won’t see any weird yellow undertone peeking through! Working from home has its perks for sure!
